Trump showed highly classified map to plane passengers on way to his golf club: Lawmaker

House Democratic lawmakers have revealed previously undisclosed documents that indicate President Donald Trump shared a classified map with airline passengers in 2022, while he was out of office and jetting to his Bedminster, New Jersey golf property.

According to former CBS News reporter Scott MacFarlane, the allegation was detailed by Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD), ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, in a letter to Trump administration officials based on information that became available as part of Republicans' investigation of Arctic Frost, the federal probe into efforts by Trump's allies to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

This comes as MS NOW reports investigators working under former special counsel Jack Smith had determined a possible motive for Trump's decision to illegally move thousands of highly classified documents to his Mar-a-Lago estate — namely, that he thought they might be of material use to his business interests.

"If this map is related to our military posture in the Middle East, and it was in fact shown to any foreign official, Saudi or otherwise, that would amount to an unforgivable betrayal of our men and women in uniform who are currently valiantly fighting in President Trump's disastrous war against Iran," wrote Raskin.

"It is now clear that DOJ is in possession of evidence that President Trump has already endangered national security to further the interests of Trump family businesses."

"It is time for you to stop the cover-up and allow the American people to know what secrets he betrayed and how he may have cashed in on them," Raskin continued, before detailing a series of information requests. "Our country is at war, American lives are at stake, and the answer to these questions has never been more pressing."

Trump has denied any wrongdoing, and repeatedly and falsely asserted that he had an absolute right to take any classified documents he wanted with him under the Presidential Records Act.
