Peter Brandt, an analyst renowned for his 50 years of experience, said it could take more than a year for Bitcoin to reach its all-time high of $126,100 seen last October.
At this point, Peter Brandt argues that it seems unlikely that BTC will reach a new all-time high this year.
Brandt predicted that Bitcoin’s new all-time high (ATH) could occur most likely in the second quarter of next year, specifically the second quarter of 2027.
Brandt went even further in his predictions, suggesting that the $60,000 level last seen in February might not be the bottom.
Brandt also added that BTC could retest the $60,000 support level in September or October, or even fall below it. He further suggested this could mark the bottom of the bear market and the beginning of a new bull market.
While Brandt expects further declines in the short term, he maintained his view on Bitcoin’s long-term bullishness and value. However, he expressed a neutral or bearish outlook regarding other altcoins.
“The essence of Bitcoin hasn’t changed; it’s still a store of value.”
Like Brandt, market participants also have low expectations. In the prediction market Polymarket, the probability of Bitcoin surpassing $120,000 again in 2026 is priced at approximately 15%.
