A crypto investor, who reportedly made a 150x profit on Pepe Coin (PEPE), has now turned his attention to Little Pepe (LILPEPE). The new Layer 2 blockchain project has already raised over $25 million through its presale, catching the interest of early investors hoping to get in before listings go live. With most tokens sold, LILPEPE is approaching its final presale stages.

Little Pepe Presale Reaches $25 Million

The Little Pepe presale has already passed the $25.12 million mark in the aggregate fund collected. More than $15.58 billion of the presale tokens are sold out at press time with the current price of $0.0021 per token, which is 110% up from the Stage 1 price of $0.0010. Stage 12 is almost complete, with about $353,508 remaining to raise, marking roughly 98.9% completion. The next stage price is set at $0.0022.

A trader, who was a famous member of the community in terms of trading in PEPE, clarified that he purchased PEPE when it was at an early stage and sold it after 150x. LILPEPE takes me back to that time—the same hype with technology behind it. Not only meme coin investors but also more general crypto traders are also attracted to the project because it is offering utility-backed coins. The format of the staged presale also seems to have added to the hype, as previous rounds sold faster than anticipated. The price was slightly higher in each round, and this encouraged many buyers to buy earlier, before the price could go up.

Layer 2 Blockchain with Utility Focus

Little Pepe is developing its own blockchain, unlike most meme coins. It is an EVM-compatible Layer 2 chain that concentrates on quick and low-cost transactions. When compared to the mainnet of Ethereum, users can anticipate near-instant finality and extremely low gas costs. The platform is built to mitigate risk among common crypto users. Its smart contracts are constructed with anti-rug and anti-bot security. The Ethereum applications can be transferred to the blockchain with little effort since the blockchain supports Ethereum applications. This assists in the expansion of the ecosystem and provides existing Ethereum developers with a new location to develop.

Token Distribution and Ecosystem Plans

The supply of LILPEPE is constant: 100 billion tokens. This comprises 26.5% that it assigns to the presale. The operational reserve of the blockchain is also allocated to another 30%. The staking rewards will be 13.5%, and 10% will be allocated to liquidity, centralized exchanges, and marketing, respectively.

The team also works on a meme coin launchpad. The platform will enable the user to generate new meme tokens in a more secure and safer structure. The features on the launchpad will be accessible with the usage of $LILPEPE, and they may provide value to the token post-launch.

There will be staking options to reward holders who decide to lock up their tokens as opposed to selling them in the market. This would assist in quieting down the short-term sell-off when the token goes to exchanges.

Community Growth and $777K Giveaway

Little Pepe is conducting a $777,000 giveaway campaign to raise awareness. Ten winners will get tokens of LILPEPE worth 77,000. Any individual making a minimum investment of 100 in the presale is eligible. On top of this, the Mega Giveaway rewards the biggest presale buyers with Ethereum: the top buyer wins 5 ETH, the second 3 ETH, the third 2 ETH, and 15 lucky buyers get 0.5 ETH each.

This strategy has enabled LILPEPE to trend in crypto Twitter and Telegram groups. On-chain data indicate that more than one million wallets have already gotten into the presale. The team has ensured the giveaway tokens are within the marketing allocation and will not impact liquidity or presale reserves.

Outlook as Presale Nears Completion

Nearly all presale tokens have been sold, several stages have closed earlier than expected, and now, Little Pepe remains an engaging topic. Investors such as James are making new bets on the basis of prior experience with meme coins. The official site gives the last presale price prior to the launch as $0.0022. The exchange listing is likely to be soon. The following milestones of the project are the launch on key platforms and the deployment of its Layer 2 chain.

The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For

The post The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Visions of future technology are often prescient about the broad strokes while flubbing the details. The tablets in “2001: A Space Odyssey” do indeed look like iPads, but you never see the astronauts paying for subscriptions or wasting hours on Candy Crush.  Channel factories are one vision that arose early in the history of the Lightning Network to address some challenges that Lightning has faced from the beginning. Despite having grown to become Bitcoin’s most successful layer-2 scaling solution, with instant and low-fee payments, Lightning’s scale is limited by its reliance on payment channels. Although Lightning shifts most transactions off-chain, each payment channel still requires an on-chain transaction to open and (usually) another to close. As adoption grows, pressure on the blockchain grows with it. The need for a more scalable approach to managing channels is clear. Channel factories were supposed to meet this need, but where are they? In 2025, subnetworks are emerging that revive the impetus of channel factories with some new details that vastly increase their potential. They are natively interoperable with Lightning and achieve greater scale by allowing a group of participants to open a shared multisig UTXO and create multiple bilateral channels, which reduces the number of on-chain transactions and improves capital efficiency. Achieving greater scale by reducing complexity, Ark and Spark perform the same function as traditional channel factories with new designs and additional capabilities based on shared UTXOs.  Channel Factories 101 Channel factories have been around since the inception of Lightning. A factory is a multiparty contract where multiple users (not just two, as in a Dryja-Poon channel) cooperatively lock funds in a single multisig UTXO. They can open, close and update channels off-chain without updating the blockchain for each operation. Only when participants leave or the factory dissolves is an on-chain transaction…

Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC

The post Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Franklin Templeton CEO Jenny Johnson has weighed in on whether the Federal Reserve should make a 25 basis points (bps) Fed rate cut or 50 bps cut. This comes ahead of the Fed decision today at today’s FOMC meeting, with the market pricing in a 25 bps cut. Bitcoin and the broader crypto market are currently trading flat ahead of the rate cut decision. Franklin Templeton CEO Weighs In On Potential FOMC Decision In a CNBC interview, Jenny Johnson said that she expects the Fed to make a 25 bps cut today instead of a 50 bps cut. She acknowledged the jobs data, which suggested that the labor market is weakening. However, she noted that this data is backward-looking, indicating that it doesn’t show the current state of the economy. She alluded to the wage growth, which she remarked is an indication of a robust labor market. She added that retail sales are up and that consumers are still spending, despite inflation being sticky at 3%, which makes a case for why the FOMC should opt against a 50-basis-point Fed rate cut. In line with this, the Franklin Templeton CEO said that she would go with a 25 bps rate cut if she were Jerome Powell. She remarked that the Fed still has the October and December FOMC meetings to make further cuts if the incoming data warrants it. Johnson also asserted that the data show a robust economy. However, she noted that there can’t be an argument for no Fed rate cut since Powell already signaled at Jackson Hole that they were likely to lower interest rates at this meeting due to concerns over a weakening labor market. Notably, her comment comes as experts argue for both sides on why the Fed should make a 25 bps cut or…
