Sabrina Carpenter sees “Taste” and “Please Please Please” return as top 40 bestsellers in the U.K. as her fans continue to purchase those cuts on vinyl. Sabrina Carpenter seems to be winding down promotion of her latest album, Man’s Best Friend. The pop superstar dropped her seventh full-length in late August 2025, and it’s not unusual for projects by even some of the most successful names in top 40 pop to only stick around for a few months.

Man’s Best Friend – fronted by lead single “Manchild” – was a critical and commercial success, and even as it dwindles in popularity, but it seems that fans in the United Kingdom are not yet done with at least one of the singles from this era… as well as a favorite from her previous project.

“Taste” and “Please Please Please” Return

Two of Carpenter’s most famous smashes suddenly return to the same ranking together across the Atlantic. Amazingly, both “Taste” and “Please Please Please” become top 40 bestsellers after not appearing on the Official Vinyl Singles tally at all just days ago.

Between the two, “Taste” is the better seller, as it reenters the vinyl only rundown at No. 34. “Please Please Please,” which comes from Short n’ Sweet, Carpenter’s sixth album, breaks back onto the roster at No. 38.

“Please Please Please” Remains Sabrina Carpenter’s Top Hit

Between those two hits – the only songs by Carpenter that currently appear on the Official Vinyl Singles chart – “Please Please Please” is easily the bigger success. That track is one of her three No. 1s, and it was her first – and so far her only – tune to live at the summit for more than one frame. “Please Please Please” was followed by “Nonsense” and “Manchild,” which held on for just one stint apiece. All of Carpenter’s other placements on the Official Vinyl Singles chart have entered the top three. “Tears” peaked at No. 2, landing in the same spot as fellow Carpenter cuts “Espresso” and “Taste.”

In terms of longevity, “Please Please Please” is once again the winner. That Short n’ Sweet blockbuster has now spent 47 non consecutive periods somewhere on the Official Vinyl Singles rundown. “Taste” is up to just 11 stays on the list.

Both “Taste” and “Please Please Please” Rise Again

Both “Taste” and “Please Please Please” live on the Official Physical Singles chart in addition to the Official Vinyl Singles ranking. The two tracks rise several dozen spots from where they sat last time around and sit just beneath the top 40.

“Espresso” and “Manchild” Remain Chart Wins as Well

Carpenter occupies four spaces on the Official Physical Singles chart, which takes into account not only purchases of individual tunes on vinyl, but also cassette and CD, which have become popular again. “Espresso” surges 60 spaces and lands at No. 38. “Manchild” reenters the roster and makes a home at No. 52.

“Espresso” and “Manchild” Climb on Major U.K. Rankings

Both “Manchild” and “Espresso” also land on two of the U.K.’s most competitive non-genre-specific lists. The pair can be found on the Official Singles chart, the 100-space rundown of the most consumed tracks of any style, with “Manchild” dipping slightly to No. 54, while “Espresso” – months after it celebrated its first year on the tally – climbs nearly 10 spots.

The two career-defining wins are also present on the Official Streaming chart. “Manchild” returns to the top 40, leaping from No. 42 to No. 33. At the same time, “Espresso” climbs 20 pegs and comes in at No. 63.

Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet Returns as Well

Both of Carpenter’s most recent albums can be found on the same four rosters: the Official Albums, Official Albums Streaming, Official Albums Sales and Official Physical Albums charts. Short n’ Sweet also manages to land on the Official Vinyl Albums list, reentering at No. 39 at the same time that one of its most popular singles, “Please Please Please,” becomes a vinyl bestseller again as well.
