According to Odaily Planet Daily, crypto analyst Darkfost said that after Bitcoin encountered resistance near $87,000, its MVRV indicator fell below the historical 30th percentile to 25.7%, indicating that the market has re-entered a transitional phase following capitulation-driven selling. The indicator compares the current MVRV level with its historical range. The current valuation level has occurred during only about 25% of Bitcoin’s historical trading period, which remains consistent with an accumulation range, although Bitcoin has already moved away from the extreme undervaluation zone that has historically been more closely associated with market bottoms.
South Korea’s Five Major Crypto Exchanges Seek Fourth Delay of 22% Crypto Tax, Ruling Party Proposal Pushes Implementation to 2029
According to Cointelegraph, South Korea’s five major cryptocurrency exchanges plan to meet with the government on October 20 to seek another delay to the 22% cryptocurrency tax originally scheduled to take effect in January 2027. According to Odaily Planet Daily, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin launched a “paranoid mode” for his AI agent on October 16, designed to conceal user identity, request origin, and payment traces. The system integrates zkAPI, Tor, additional cover traffic, and local large-model prompt rewriting into an OpenAI-compatible daemon, while also providing an outer wrapper for the pi agent framework. The system is currently running on Ethereum mainnet and supports ETH and USDC deposits, although starting new conversations is relatively slow and the agent remains restricted to a software sandbox.
Bank of Russia: Residents to Be Banned From Using Self-Custody Wallets for Crypto Transactions Starting July 2027
According to Bitcoin.com News, the Bank of Russia said that starting July 1, 2027, Russian residents will no longer be permitted to conduct crypto asset transactions through self-custody wallets or transfer assets from regulated brokers to self-custody wallets. Russia currently has 13 institutions authorized to provide digital currency trading services, including VTB Bank and Sberbank.
