Flock.io joins UNDP Dialogue to explore blockchain and AI solutions for sustainable development

Flock.io took part in a UNDP-hosted High-Level Strategic Dialogue on Blockchain for Sustainable Development at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City.

Flock.io (FLOCK) announced today that it had participated in a High-Level Strategic Dialogue on Blockchain for Sustainable Development at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City.

The event, convened by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), brought together global leaders from the blockchain industry, international development, and policy sectors to discuss the transformative potential of blockchain technology in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Discussions also explored potential establishment of a Blockchain Advisory Group to guide ongoing initiatives.

Flock.io hasn’t revealed any specific initiatives or plans emerging from today’s discussions. However, it highlighted its unique position as the only decentralized AI infrastructure project represented at the dialogue.

For context, DeAI is one of the fastest-growing sectors in the crypto and AI space, providing open, accessible, and shared resources that enable smaller teams to build AI apps without the prohibitive costs of centralized systems.

Flock.io in UNDP’s SDG Blockchain Accelerator

Flock.io’s participation in today’s dialogue builds on its earlier designation as an AI strategic partner in UNDP’s SDG Blockchain Accelerator, announced in August alongside Stellar (XLM). The accelerator is a global initiative launched by UNDP, in partnership with the Blockchain for Good Alliance (BGA) and EMURGO Labs, aimed at leveraging blockchain technology for social impact and advancing the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Within the accelerator, Flock.io provides technical mentorship and support to pilot projects applying blockchain and decentralized AI technologies to address global challenges, including climate finance, inclusive energy access, social protection, healthcare, and supply chain transparency.
