As Madonna continues to work on her upcoming album — which is reportedly a sequel to her Grammy-winning, disco-leaning dance blockbuster Confessions on a Dance Floor — the pop icon is also looking to the past to give fans music they might not be familiar with. The singer’s catalog is filled not only with well-known smashes and bestselling albums, but also with what may be countless demos, live recordings, and complete productions that were never shared with the public.
Ahead of a new EP, Bedtime Stories – The Untold Chapter, which is set to arrive later this year, Madonna scores a new bestselling song in the United Kingdom with “Right on Time,” the first tune shared from the short collection – which may also soon become a strong performer as well.
Madonna’s “Right on Time” Debuts on Multiple Charts
Madonna’s track “Right on Time” debuts on two sales-focused tallies in the U.K. this frame. The just-released cut opens at No. 62 on the Official Singles Downloads chart and four spaces lower, at No. 66 on the Official Singles Sales tally.
Madonna ups her career total number of bestselling songs in the U.K. to 29 as “Right on Time” arrives. She reaches a milestone 35 smashes on the Official Singles Downloads list, which tracks the bestselling cuts of any language or genre on platforms like Amazon and iTunes.
Madonna’s Busy 2025 Continues
Despite the fact that she hasn’t released a new traditional album of original material in more than half a decade, Madonna has recently scored multiple new bestsellers on both charts where “Right on Time” debuts this frame. In fact, the new arrival is her fourth debut in 2025 alone. Fellow Madonna cuts “Live to Tell,” “Gone, Gone, Gone” and “Dress You Up” all appeared for the first time on both the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads rankings throughout 2025.
Bedtime Stories – The Untold Chapter Arrives Soon
“Right on Time” serves as the first taste of Bedtime Stories – The Untold Chapter, and the original demo edit is the one that becomes a top seller in the U.K. The upcoming EP features eight tracks, including several original demos, rough mixes, and named recordings of songs that made the Bedtime Stories album, as well as a few that did not. The upcoming release will be available on multiple formats, including vinyl and digitally, while a deluxe double CD edition will include the original, bestselling Bedtime Stories album alongside the new EP.

When Singles Came From Madonna’s Bedtime Stories?
Madonna unveiled Bedtime Stories, her sixth studio album, in 1994. By that point, she had already proved herself to be one of the sturdiest hitmakers and most innovative artists in pop music history throughout the decade prior.
Bedtime Stories became another huge commercial success, as it peaked at No. 2 on the Official Albums chart. The project produced the singles “Secret,” “Take a Bow,” “Bedtime Story,” and “Human Nature,” and its blend of pop and R&B helped further Madonna’s reputation as a musician who had her finger on the pulse of what was happening then and what was coming next in the music world.
Madonna’s “Erotica” Becomes a Bestseller Again
Madonna claims two top-selling tracks in the U.K. this frame, but there’s no overlap when it comes to the tallies they appear on. As “Right on Time” debuts on two rosters, “Erotica” reappears on the Official Physical Singles chart at No. 58.
The superstar also sees two albums live on the weekly rankings across the Atlantic. Both The Immaculate Collection and Veronica Electronica, a recently-dropped remix effort, find their way back to the rosters, with the latter of the two bouncing back onto four tallies at the same time.
