PANews reported on November 13th that the U.S. House of Representatives has cleared key procedural hurdles, paving the way for a full House vote on the appropriations bill, which has already passed the Senate, to end the government shutdown. On Wednesday, as the shutdown entered its 43rd day, House members voted 213-209 to advance the bill to the next stage. The appropriations bill will now undergo an hour of debate before a final vote. The White House earlier stated that Trump hopes to sign the bill ending the government shutdown tonight (Thursday morning Beijing time).
