Canton [CC] has suddenly caught the market’s attention. The token is up nearly 6% in the past 24 hours and nearly 47% over the last week, outperforming most of the market!

So what changed? Why is Canton moving now?

After weeks of moving sideways, Canton finally broke out of its range.

Price pushed from the $0.09 zone to a high near $0.13, a move of roughly 47% in just a few days. This rally came with huge buying interest, so the breakout wasn’t random.

Last week, DTCC confirmed a partnership with Canton Network to support the tokenization of assets held by The Depository Trust Company. The goal is to bring regulated assets on-chain using infrastructure that meets strict compliance and privacy requirements.

The collaboration builds on DTCC’s existing work with Digital Asset, and makes Canton as a serious contender in institutional adoption. For the market, this provides real-world use, credible partners, and long-term intent.

Canton is punching above its weight. Over the past 24 hours, the network logged 23,972 active addresses and over 500,000 transactions, a burst of activity for a relatively new token.

By comparison, daily active addresses on larger chains like Ripple’s XRP [XRP], Cardano [ADA], and Chainlink [LINK] were either lower or in the same range during the same period. Remember, these networks have much bigger market sizes.

That gap matters, because it shows traders are using Canton. This doesn’t guarantee long-term dominance. However, Canton is currently attracting more focused, high-intensity activity than many established altcoins.
