U.S. ETF Issuance Reaches Record High With About 390 New Funds Launched in Two Months
According to The Kobeissi Letter, approximately 390 U.S.-listed ETFs were launched over the past two months, marking the largest two-month increase in issuance in the history of the U.S. ETF market and more than tripling the level recorded in early 2024. Around 54% of ETFs launched this year employ derivatives strategies, while more than one-third are leveraged or inverse products. Fund issuers have filed applications for more than 1,000 leveraged ETFs so far this year, indicating that product innovation is rapidly shifting toward highly volatile and increasingly complex strategies. Issuance is expected to remain elevated.
DeFi Kingdoms’ DFK Chain to Cease Operations on August 28
According to DeFi Kingdoms, DFK Chain, which was built as an Avalanche L1, will cease operations on August 28. The team is currently prioritizing the secure migration of player assets to Avalanche C-Chain and plans to release more detailed migration procedures in the coming weeks. It will also make its SDK available, allowing third-party developers to continue building with DeFi Kingdoms’ existing systems, game mechanics, and on-chain assets. Users should closely monitor official migration notices to avoid losing access to asset operations after the network or cross-chain gateways shut down.
Minicoin Launches IP RWA Network on Creditcoin and Secures IPX Authorization
According to Minicoin’s official announcement, Minicoin, an IP RWA network built on Creditcoin, has received official authorization from IPX. Its native token, MINI, will become the first public-sale project on PenguinSwap Launchpad. The platform plans to mint each intellectual property asset as an IP NFT representing full ownership and use MINI for revenue settlement through smart contracts. It will also provide creator and fan incentives alongside AI-powered creation tools. Users can qualify for the MINI public sale by leveling up and minting SBTs through “minini universe: ROOM.”
Anchorpoint Financial Plans to Launch Stablecoin Soon Under a B2B2C Model
According to Odaily, Standard Chartered’s Huen Wai-yi said the bank and Anchorpoint Financial have continued testing since obtaining a stablecoin license in April, including exploring public-blockchain applications in cross-border settlement and tokenized assets. Anchorpoint Financial will adopt a business-to-business-to-consumer model rather than serving end users directly. Approved distributors will provide services to corporations, institutions, SMEs, traders, service providers, fund companies, and individual users. Regulators are also considering a standardized investment cap of approximately 20% and the introduction of live trading simulations. On July 31, South Korea raised the minimum margin requirement for these products from KRW 10 million to KRW 30 million. According to on-chain analyst Ai Yi, the DRAM Memory ETF, described as the first pure-play memory ETF listed in the United States, has added ChangXin Memory Technologies at a portfolio weight of 2.52%. Established on April 2, 2026, the ETF has $24.55 billion in assets. Its return once reached 190% and remained at 161.5% following a pullback in the memory sector. They target previous fraud victims by falsely claiming that they can recover lost funds, then direct them to fake IC3 websites to submit identity, financial, and crypto transaction information or demand additional “recovery fees.” These secondary recovery scams may expose personal information and cause victims to lose more assets. Users should enter IC3.gov directly in their browsers to verify information, avoid advertisements and complaint links sent by strangers, and never send cryptocurrency to purported law-enforcement personnel. IC3 does not contact users through platforms such as Telegram or Facebook and does not charge fees to recover assets.
