KuCoin Pay, a payment solution that allows merchants to grow their businesses by accepting crypto payments with ease, today announced its strategic integration with Zypto App, a DeFi wallet that connects real-world payments to the decentralized finance layer. The integration means the Zypto App now gives KuCoin users access to a reliable way to utilize their crypto assets in day-to-day, real-world utility and spending activities.

On January 2, 2025, KuCoin, a global cryptocurrency exchange, launched KuCoin Pay, a payment solution aiming to redefine digital commerce by incorporating crypto transactions into retail. The platform allows merchants (businesses) to accept cryptocurrency payments efficiently, providing a borderless and contactless transaction method.

Backed by KuCoin’s crypto exchange architecture and serving more than 37 million global users, this platform (KuCoin Pay) simplifies crypto payments with real-time settlements and decreased transaction fees. By merchants integrating the KuCoin Pay into their payment systems, this approach allows mainstream customers to simply execute ordinary daily purchases by scanning a QR code or using the KuCoin app.

KuCoin Accessing Liquidity On Zypto

Through the integration above, KuCoin Pay allows customers to utilize their KuCoin balances to access everyday life activities like purchasing, shopping, coffee, dinner, and several other real-world activities directly inside the Zypto App.

Zypto is a DeFi-focused crypto platform that specializes in enabling practical utility. The Zypto app has crypto-enabled services like mobile top-ups, bill payments, gift cards, card top-ups, and many applications built to assist customers in using cryptocurrency in their day-to-day life. This explains how Zypto helps people to directly spend their crypto on immediate real-world use cases.

This partnership above means that instead of people engaging in trading and spending as separate activities, the integration gives KuCoin customers more direct access to daily life applications supported by the Zypto app.

Building Global Web3 Community

Partnering with Zypto, one of the leading Defi wallets, allows KuCoin to attract and onboard new customers from across the globe. According to wallets’ rankings based on data from DeFiLlama, Zypto is one of the major DeFi wallets. It is currently in the 11th position, following Binance Wallet, DeFiway, Ambire Wallet, Zerion Wallet, Rabby Wallet, Rainbow Wallet, Trust Wallet, Base App, MetaMask Wallet, and Phantom Wallet.

With years of DeFi experience, Zypto has developed strong relationships with businesses, institutional customers, and retail users. The partnership with Zypto is a strong showcase of KuCoin Pay’s commitment to onboarding more CeFi and DeFi enterprises to bring convenience to customers for real-world crypto utilities, not simply focusing on narratives to support trading and speculative investments.
