Bitcoin is the asset every other crypto is measured against. It launched in January
2009 as a fixed-supply digital currency with no issuer and no central operator — 21
million coins, and no mechanism to create more. This hub collects MEXC Learn's Bitcoin
coverage, from how the supply schedule works to what actually moves the price.

Supply and monetary design. Roughly every four years the reward paid to miners halves,
cutting the rate of new issuance. The April 2024 halving dropped it to 3.125 BTC per

Network and technology. Bitcoin still runs on proof of work, so miners compete with

Ethereum is the blockchain most of crypto is actually built on. Bitcoin stores value;
Ethereum runs code — the smart contracts behind DeFi, stablecoins, NFTs, and the
majority of tokens trading today. This hub collects MEXC Learn's Ethereum coverage,

Network and technology. Ethereum stopped being a mined chain in September 2022, when

Everyone starts somewhere, and crypto is unusually unforgiving of guessing. A transfer
sent to the wrong address cannot be recalled. A leveraged position can close itself
while you sleep. This hub collects MEXC Learn's beginner material in the order it is
actually useful, rather than the order it was published.

Work through it in four stages.

First, the vocabulary. What a blockchain actually records, what a wallet holds, and why
a private key is nothing like a password. Skipping this makes everything after it
harder than it needs to be.

Second, custody and security. Where your assets sit when they are on an exchange versus
in your own wallet, what identity verification is for, and how to recognise the scams
that specifically target new accounts. This stage prevents more losses than any trading
skill will.

Third, your first trade. Funding an account, what a spot order does, reading a price
chart well enough not to be misled by one, and deciding how much to start with. The
honest answer to that last question is: an amount whose total loss would change nothing
about your month.

Fourth, what to leave alone for now. Leverage, futures and high-yield offers are not

DeFi replaces the institutions in finance with code. Instead of a bank approving a loan
or a broker matching a trade, a smart contract does it — automatically, and visible to

centralized one, because that single difference determines who is holding your assets
at any given moment. From there the coverage splits four ways.

Trading and liquidity. Decentralized exchanges match trades against pooled capital
rather than an order book. This track covers automated market makers, providing
liquidity, slippage, and impermanent loss — the cost most first-time liquidity
providers fail to price in.

Lending and yield. Protocols let anyone borrow against collateral with no credit check,
because the collateral is over-provisioned and liquidated automatically when it thins.

Risk. DeFi's failure modes are well documented: contract exploits, oracle manipulation,
rug pulls, depegs. This track is as developed as the others on purpose. A yield figure
means very little without the risk that produced it.

Stablecoins. Most DeFi activity is denominated in them, which makes how they hold their
peg — and what happens when one does not — a load-bearing topic rather than a footnote.
