Prominent Reverend draws criticism for his speech at Trump's 'Rededicate 250' event

Rev. Franklin Graham delivered a pre-recorded video message at President Donald Trump's Rededicate 250 prayer event Sunday at the National Mall in D.C., describing America as "morally rotten" and "completely sick with sin."

Graham cited "transgenderism" and "opening women's locker rooms to men" as a couple of examples of America's alleged moral decay.

He then drew parallels to the bible, "When God sent the flood and destroyed the earth, it was because man's heart had become so evil and violent," he said, "In the news, we see unimaginable violence: rapes, murders, [and] unimaginable violence. Video games are full of violence. We have an insatiable appetite for violence."

Political analysts criticized Graham's selective focus, noting the absence of commentary on corruption, illegal wars, genocide funding, concentration camps, torture, constitutional destruction, healthcare cuts, and wealth inequality.

"Did he mention an actual sin that seems all too common —sexual abuse by clergy?" Bill Kristol, the editor at large for The Bulwark, posted on X.

"Just bigotry all the way down. That’s what Jesus taught him," Hemant Mehta, a former "Jeopardy!" champion, posted on X.
