PANews reported on November 2nd that, according to Decrypt, the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI) has fined Bitcoin ATM operator Coinhub $675,000 for charging customers excessive fees. The fine includes $105,000 to reimburse California consumers who were charged fees exceeding the maximum limit for cryptocurrency ATM usage. This is the fourth time the regulator has taken enforcement action against cryptocurrency ATM operators it has described as profiting at the expense of consumers.
