How to Transfer Crypto From Crypto.com to Another Exchange or Your Bank: Why Can't You Leave the Same Day You Decide To?

To transfer crypto from Crypto.com to another exchange, whitelist the destination's deposit address in the App under Accounts, Token Wallet, Transfer, Withdraw and External Wallet, wait out the 24-hour lock, then withdraw to that address and verify with your passkey or 2FA.
To move money to your bank, sell to fiat first and withdraw from the fiat account.

Key Takeaways
  • Crypto.com's App and Exchange are two products with two withdrawal flows and two price lists, and an internal transfer between them is near-instant with no network fee.
  • Every new withdrawal address on the App has to be whitelisted, and with the 24-hour lock on, withdrawals to a new address are disabled for 24 hours.
  • Turning the lock off takes 24 hours to take effect, so the earliest exit is tomorrow either way, and the App drops you from its Account Protection Programme while the lock is off.
  • The App's ACH page sets a minimum of 1 dollar, no Crypto.com fee, and a daily cap of 100,000 dollars or 5 requests, and the Exchange guide gives 1 to 5 business days for USD, 1 to 2 for SEPA and same day for Faster Payments.
  • Crypto withdrawals from the App are automated, usually instant and no longer than 2 to 3 hours, and they leave from an address that differs from your deposit address.
  • MEXC, the example destination in this guide, credits Bitcoin after 2 confirmations, Ethereum after 10 and USDT on ERC-20 after 96, and it does not serve the United States, the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area.

Why Do People Move Money Off Crypto.com?

Three reasons come up more than any other.
The first is that there are two Crypto.coms: the App and the Exchange run separate price lists, and as verified for our Crypto.com alternatives guide in September 2026, the entry-tier taker rate was 0.80% on the App and 0.500% on the Exchange.
The second is cash: the most searched question about leaving Crypto.com is how to get money to a bank account, and that section is below.
The third is self-custody, which no exchange account can offer.
None of this is a solvency story, and it should not be read as one.
If withdrawals are already failing for you, that is a different situation, covered in our guide on how to move assets away from an exchange in distress.

Which Crypto.com Are You Leaving?

The App is where most people hold coins, cards and fiat accounts.
The Exchange is the order-book platform, with its own spot wallet and its own withdrawal settings.
They share a brand and a login, and almost nothing else about withdrawals.

Data verified as of September 22, 2026 against Crypto.com's official help center articles on crypto withdrawals (June 18, 2026) and ACH withdrawals (April 29, 2026), and against Crypto.com's own guide to depositing and withdrawing on the Exchange.
If your coins are on the Exchange and you want to use the App's flow, move them across first; Crypto.com's guide says the transfer is an internal ledger movement rather than a blockchain transaction.

Why Can't You Leave the Same Day You Decide To?

Because of a feature Crypto.com recommends you keep on.
The App's help center says the 24-hour Withdrawal Lock protects your account by disabling withdrawals for 24 hours to addresses that have been newly whitelisted.
The natural reaction is to switch it off for moving day, and that is where the timing catches people.
The same article says disabling the lock will take effect in 24 hours, and the Exchange's version of the setting says the change takes effect in 24 hours as well.
The App also notes that you are not eligible for its Account Protection Programme, where applicable, while the feature is disabled.
So the earliest exit is tomorrow whichever way you go, and the only real choice is whether you keep the protection.
The answer that works is to whitelist the destination address today and withdraw tomorrow, with the lock left on.

Why Should You Set Up the Destination First?

The whitelist needs an address before anything else can happen, so the new account has to exist before you touch the App.
We run MEXC, so it is the worked example, and the same checks apply to any destination.
One thing first: MEXC's User Agreement lists the United States and the United Kingdom as prohibited jurisdictions, and MEXC holds no MiCA authorisation for the European Economic Area.
If you live in one of those places, the example still shows what a destination should give you, and yours should be a platform licensed to serve you.
On MEXC, go to Wallets, then Deposit, then On-Chain Deposit, choose the coin and the network, and copy the address, as set out in MEXC's guide on how to deposit crypto on the web.
Copy the memo as well if the deposit page shows one.
For USDT, MEXC has accepted deposits on the TON network since April 2024, alongside Tron, Ethereum, BNB Chain and Solana, so check the App's network list against that one.
MEXC credits Bitcoin after 2 block confirmations, Ethereum after 10 and USDT on ERC-20 after 96 network confirmations, according to the MEXC deposit and withdrawal guide.

What a Crypto.com trader pays on MEXC

A withdrawal fee is paid once.
A taker rate is paid on every fill, on whichever Crypto.com you use.
MEXC's fee page lists spot trading at 0.0000% for makers and 0.0500% for takers, as of September 10, 2026.
Taker orders, $20,000 a month, for a year
On MEXC's standard schedule

Through the App at 0.80%
$1,920
$120 at 0.0500%
$1,800
Through the Exchange at 0.500%
$1,200
$120 at 0.0500%
$1,080
Data verified against Crypto.com's App and Exchange entry-tier rates as recorded for our Crypto.com fee guide in September 2026, and MEXC's fee page as of September 10, 2026; each figure is monthly volume multiplied by the rate and by 12.
A trader who rests limit orders gains more still, because a maker order costs nothing on the MEXC schedule.
The limits belong on the page.
Both Crypto.com price lists fall with volume and with the platform token, so check your own tier before you compare.
MEXC futures rates are pair-specific, and orders sent through the MEXC API follow a separate futures schedule of 0.06% maker and 0.08% taker.
Our MEXC vs Crypto.com comparison goes through both price lists line by line, and our tracker of futures fee schedules across exchanges covers derivatives.
On reserves, MEXC publishes Proof of Reserves with Merkle tree verification, and our guide to exchanges that publish proof of reserves explains how to check any platform's claim.
If you live outside the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area and the other restricted jurisdictions, and the taker rate is why you are moving, open the MEXC account today so the address can be whitelisted before the lock runs.

What Is the Crypto.com Transfer Fee?

Sending crypto to another Crypto.com App user carries no fee, and Crypto.com's help center contrasts that with a withdrawal to an external address, which carries one.
The App shows the withdrawal fee for each coin under Fees and Limits in Settings, and the fee is fixed per coin and network rather than quoted at the moment of sending.
When we checked the App's schedule for our Crypto.com fee guide in September 2026, the withdrawal fee was exactly half the minimum withdrawal on 41 of the 43 routes we recorded, so a balance that covers the fee can still sit below the minimum.
We do not reprint the schedule, because fixed fees are revised and the figure in your own App is the one that applies.
One rule from the same help page matters for anyone who has ever sent coins back: withdrawals leave from an address that differs from your deposit address, so never treat the sending address as somewhere to return funds.
For the receiving side of that sum on other platforms, see which exchanges charge the least to withdraw.

How to Transfer Money From Crypto.com to Your Bank Account

This is the part most people are searching for, and it has nothing to do with another exchange, so no destination appears in it.
Cash leaves from a fiat account, which means selling crypto into that currency first.

Data verified as of September 22, 2026 against Crypto.com's help center article on ACH withdrawals (April 29, 2026) and Crypto.com's own guide to depositing and withdrawing on the Exchange; availability varies by region and verification status.
Two corrections to what circulates online.
The App's ACH page sets the minimum at 1 dollar, not the 100 dollars that most third-party guides repeat, and it caps Prime users at 3 million dollars a day.
And the Exchange does have fiat withdrawal rails of its own, so you do not always have to move funds to the App to cash out, although availability depends on your region and verification.
On the App, the route is Accounts, then the USD Account, then Transfer and Withdraw, with the bank linked beforehand, and you can keep up to five linked accounts.
Crypto.com's Exchange guide says fiat withdrawals open only once verification is complete and any pending balances have cleared, and that the final arrival time depends on your bank's hours, cut-offs and holidays.

Which Network Should You Pick?

The App asks you to choose the network when you whitelist the address, not when you send, so the decision comes early.
List the networks the destination accepts on its deposit page, list the networks the App offers for the coin, and keep only the ones on both.
Then take the cheapest of what is left.
Addresses beginning with 0x look identical on Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Polygon and Arbitrum, so the address itself will never warn you that you whitelisted the wrong network.
Our guide to USDT networks compared explains how the chains differ.

How to Move Crypto From Crypto.com to a Wallet You Control

A hardware or software wallet you control follows the same whitelist-and-wait route, with no support desk on the other side.
Generate the receive address in the wallet, confirm it on the device's own screen if it has one, whitelist it in the App on the network the wallet is set to, and wait out the lock.
Send a small amount first, and only send the balance once the test shows in the wallet.
Write down which network you used, since the same coin can exist on several and the wallet has to be set to the right one to display it.

How to Transfer Crypto From Crypto.com in Six Steps

Step 1: Decide which product you are leaving.
If the coins are on the Exchange, move them to the App by internal transfer, or use the Exchange's own whitelist under Security.
Step 2: Get the deposit address and any memo from the destination.
On MEXC that is Wallets, then Deposit, then On-Chain Deposit, with the coin and the network chosen.
Step 3: Whitelist the address today.
Accounts, then Token Wallet, then Transfer, Withdraw and External Wallet, then Add Wallet Address: choose the coin and the network, paste the address, name it, and verify with your passcode or, on an untrusted device, your passkey or 2FA.
Step 4: Wait out the lock.
With the 24-hour lock on, the new address opens tomorrow, and switching the lock off would take just as long.
Step 5: Send a test, then the balance.
Select the whitelisted address, choose the coin and enter the amount, confirm, and verify with your passkey or with SMS OTP and your 2FA code.
Step 6: Track it.
Crypto.com emails a withdrawal request confirmation, processes automatically within 2 to 3 hours at most, and shows the transaction hash on the transaction itself, from where you can open it in a block explorer.
Ready to move, and eligible where you live?

What Happens on the Receiving Side?

Crypto.com's part ends when the transaction is broadcast, and the destination decides when it becomes a balance.
On MEXC, progress shows under Wallets, then Funding History, then Deposit, where the transaction ID links to the block explorer.
If the chain shows enough confirmations and MEXC shows nothing, its support guide points to a short list of causes.
  • Wrong network for the address you copied: submit an Uncredited Deposit Return Application, typically reviewed in 1 to 2 business days.
  • A missing or incorrect memo or tag: the same application.
  • A token contract address that MEXC does not support: the deposit is not credited, so compare contract addresses first.
  • A transfer sent through a smart contract: it needs manual processing through the same application.

Six Things That Stall a Crypto.com Withdrawal

The address is whitelisted but greyed out.
The 24-hour lock is running on it, and the App will let you use it when the clock ends.
You turned the lock off and nothing changed.
The change itself takes 24 hours, and you lost Account Protection eligibility in the meantime, so turn it back on.
The App asks for a passkey or 2FA you cannot reach.
An untrusted device needs the passkey or the authenticator code as well as the passcode, so set them up before moving day.
You sent funds back to the address they came from.
Crypto.com's help center says withdrawals leave from an address that differs from your deposit address, so use the deposit address on the App's Receive screen instead.
You received an email for a whitelist or withdrawal you did not request.
Crypto.com's help center says to contact support immediately through the in-app chat, which can disable crypto transactions and attempt to stop the request.
Someone offers to speed it up.
The FBI has warned about scammers who impersonate cryptocurrency exchange employees, and no genuine agent needs your passcode, your codes or your recovery phrase.

Do You Owe Tax When You Move Crypto Between Exchanges?

In the United Kingdom, HMRC's manual states that there is no disposal when you keep beneficial ownership, as when you move tokens between addresses you control.
The IRS's virtual currency FAQs take the same view of a transfer between wallets or accounts that both belong to you.
Selling crypto to fiat before a bank withdrawal is a disposal in both frameworks, and rules differ elsewhere, so this is not tax advice.
Export your Crypto.com transaction history before the account is empty, and keep each transaction hash with it, since your cost basis lives there.

Can You Do This From Your Country?

United States.
The App's ACH route is written for US customers, and MEXC's User Agreement lists the United States as a prohibited jurisdiction, so any exchange destination should be a platform registered with FinCEN and licensed in your state.
United Kingdom.
MEXC's User Agreement lists the United Kingdom as a prohibited jurisdiction, so UK readers should look to firms authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority.
European Economic Area.
MEXC does not hold a MiCA authorisation and appears on ESMA's register of non-compliant entities following a decision by the Dutch AFM in September 2025.
MEXC is also leaving the Netherlands, with offboarding running to October 31, 2026 and final offboarding on November 16, 2026.
EEA readers should choose a MiCA-authorised provider.
Japan.
Japan does not appear among the prohibited jurisdictions in MEXC's User Agreement, but the MEXC apps cannot be downloaded from Japanese iOS or Android stores, per MEXC's own restricted regions article.
MEXC appears on the Financial Services Agency's list of unregistered operators, with entries in March 2023 and November 2024.
Elsewhere.
Check the restricted regions article before opening an account, and use only platforms that serve your jurisdiction.

The MEXC View

We run an exchange, so we gain when a reader moves to us, and you should weigh this page with that in mind.
Crypto.com's 24-hour lock is a feature we would tell anyone to keep on, and the App's ACH page is one of the few official cash-out pages that states its minimum, its caps and its fee in one table.
Its bank rails are the real reason many people keep an App account open even after they move their trading, and we have nothing equivalent to offer them.
Our case is narrow and checkable: a taker order that costs 0.80% on the App or 0.500% on the Exchange at the entry tier costs 0.0500% on our standard spot schedule, and a maker order costs nothing.
How we weigh claims like these is set out in our methodology for reviewing exchanges.

Risk and Compliance

On-chain transfers are irreversible, and funds sent to a wrong address, an unsupported network or an unsupported asset may be permanently unrecoverable.
Fees, holds, supported networks and regional availability change without notice, so confirm every figure inside the platform at the time you transfer.
Check whether a platform serves your jurisdiction before opening an account, and do not use tools to bypass geographic restrictions.
