Ronnie Wood’s Fearless – Anthology 1965–2025 Debuts on the U.K. Charts

Ronnie Wood has enjoyed one of the longest and most celebrated careers in rock history. A member of the Rolling Stones since 1975 — half a century as of this year — he joined the group after the musicians had already achieved global superstardom. In addition to his time with the Stones, Wood has also performed with Faces and the Jeff Beck Group, two other legendary names in the genre.

On top of all of his success with a trio of groups, Wood also occasionally releases music on his own. This week, the veteran musician earns a new bestselling album under his own name on several charts in the United Kingdom, where he’s regarded as a guitar hero.

Ronnie Wood’s Fearless Anthology Debuts

Wood’s new retrospective Fearless – Anthology 1965–2025 arrives on three U.K. charts this time around. The compilation starts highest on the Official Physical Albums list, where it begins at lucky No. 13. The title also debuts at No. 14 on the Official Albums Sales ranking and No. 15 on the Official Vinyl Albums tally.

As his latest offering debuts, Wood now boasts two solo appearances on all three charts. With Fearless, he reaches new career-best positions on all the rankings.

Wood’s only other solo project to appear on the lists where Fearless launches this frame was Mr. Luck – A Tribute to Jimmy Reed: Live, which is credited to both Wood and the Ronnie Wood Band. That release debuted in September 2021, entering at No. 20 on the Official Physical Albums chart, No. 21 on the Official Albums Sales list, and No. 27 on the Official Vinyl Albums roster.

The anthology is available in double CD and double LP formats, and it even includes rare early recordings from Wood’s pre-fame days in groups such as The Birds and The Creation.

For his project, Wood recorded a new version of “You’re So Fine,” originally a late-1950s hit by The Falcons. Fearless also features four new tracks — “Mother of Pearl,” “You’re So Fine,” a cover of Allen Toussaint’s “A Certain Girl” featuring Chrissie Hynde, and “Take It Easy,” with the first of the bunch being an original.

On all three charts where Fearless debuts, Wood faces stiff competition in an especially crowded release week. All three lists are led by Olivia Dean, whose The Art of Loving opens at No. 1, earning the singer her first leader in the U.K. Wood is also outpaced by several other major names in the global music industry, including Doja Cat, Robert Plant, and Mariah Carey, who all earn strong launches this frame.

Ronnie Wood’s Solo Career Beyond the Rolling Stones

While Wood is best known for his work within bands, he’s also released seven solo albums under his own name. He delivered his first solo collection, I’ve Got My Own Album to Do — a fittingly-titled debut — in 1974. His most recent studio album, I Feel Like Playing, arrived 15 years ago, marking his last set of original solo material.

Since then, he has also worked with the Stones, most recently contributing to Hackney Diamonds, which arrived in October 2023 and took over charts globally. The set scored the band another Grammy for Best Rock Album, a category the pioneering outfit inaugurated decades prior as the first winners.
