Revolutionary AI Testing: Momentic Secures $15M to Automate Software Quality Assurance

While flashy product demos capture headlines, the real work of software development happens in the trenches of debugging and quality assurance. Now, Momentic is transforming this critical but often overlooked process with groundbreaking AI testing technology that just secured $15 million in Series A funding.

How AI Testing is Revolutionizing Software Development

The landscape of software testing is undergoing a dramatic transformation. Traditional methods that required extensive manual intervention are being replaced by intelligent AI testing systems that can understand natural language commands and execute complex test scenarios automatically.

Momentic’s $15M Funding Breakthrough

Momentic announced a significant $15 million Series A round led by Standard Capital, with participation from Dropbox Ventures and existing investors including Y Combinator, FCVC, Transpose Platform and Karman Ventures. This substantial investment builds on their earlier $3.7 million seed round announced in March, demonstrating strong investor confidence in their AI-driven approach to software testing.

The Power of Automated Test Automation

What sets Momentic apart in the crowded test automation space? The company’s AI can interpret plain English descriptions of user flows and automatically generate and execute corresponding tests. Co-founder Wei-Wei Wu explains: “We help our customers make sure their product works. They can describe their critical user flows in plain English and our AI will automate it.”

Impressive Growth and Client Adoption

Momentic’s approach to quality assurance has already attracted substantial market traction. The company currently serves 2,600 users across its customer base, which includes notable companies like Notion, Xero, Bilt, Webflow and Retool. The scale of their operations is equally impressive – in just the last month, Momentic automated more than 200 million test steps.

Competitive Landscape and Future Challenges

While Momentic competes with established open-source frameworks like Playwright and Selenium, their biggest long-term challenge may come from foundation model providers themselves. Both OpenAI and Anthropic offer tutorials on agentic testing, leveraging their models’ growing computer use capabilities. However, Wu remains focused on the immediate opportunity: “All of these apps need testing. They care about quality, and we’re going to provide it for them.”

What’s Next for AI-Powered Software Testing?

With the new funding, Momentic plans to expand its capabilities significantly. The company recently launched support for mobile environments and aims to build more sophisticated test-case management features. As automated coding generates more applications, the demand for robust testing solutions like Momentic’s is expected to grow exponentially.

A Netflix ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Short Film Has Been Rated For Release

The post A Netflix ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Short Film Has Been Rated For Release appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. KPop Demon Hunters Netflix Everyone has wondered what may be the next step for KPop Demon Hunters as an IP, given its record-breaking success on Netflix. Now, the answer may be something exactly no one predicted. According to a new filing with the MPA, something called Debut: A KPop Demon Hunters Story has been rated PG by the ratings body. It’s listed alongside some other films, and this is obviously something that has not been publicly announced. A short film could be well, very short, a few minutes, and likely no more than ten. Even that might be pushing it. Using say, Pixar shorts as a reference, most are between 4 and 8 minutes. The original movie is an hour and 36 minutes. The “Debut” in the title indicates some sort of flashback, perhaps to when HUNTR/X first arrived on the scene before they blew up. Previously, director Maggie Kang has commented about how there were more backstory components that were supposed to be in the film that were cut, but hinted those could be explored in a sequel. But perhaps some may be put into a short here. I very much doubt those scenes were fully produced and simply cut, but perhaps they were finished up for this short film here. When would Debut: KPop Demon Hunters theoretically arrive? I’m not sure the other films on the list are much help. Dead of Winter is out in less than two weeks. Mother Mary does not have a release date. Ne Zha 2 came out earlier this year. I’ve only seen news stories saying The Perfect Gamble was supposed to come out in Q1 2025, but I’ve seen no evidence that it actually has. KPop Demon Hunters Netflix It could be sooner rather than later as Netflix looks to capitalize…
