HungerBox posts 33% rise in gross transaction value for FY25

HungerBox, a provider of technology platforms for corporate cafeterias and food courts, reported a 33% rise in gross transaction value (GTV) for the 2024-25 fiscal year.

In a statement, HungerBox said its GTV for FY25 was Rs 885.9 crore, up from Rs 663.3 crore in FY24. The revenues for FY25 touched Rs 82 crore, a 26% increase over FY24.

Founded in 2016 by Sandipan Mitra and Uttam Kumar, the company said the EBITDA or operational profit for FY25 came in at Rs 9.2 crore, which was an annual increase of 47% driven by higher transaction volumes and operational efficiency.

HungerBox now aims to cross a GTV of Rs 1,200 crore for the current fiscal year, i.e., FY26, as it plans to expand nationally. The company is now present across 831 cafeterias in FY25 as compared to 729 in FY24.

The core customer base for HungerBox has been the corporate offices and techparks, but now it has expanded into universities and hospitals. The company said it has scaled to over 900 cafés across 39 cities, serving more than 270 enterprise and institutional clients.

“As we look ahead, our focus remains on deepening our market presence, scaling responsibly across new sectors, and accelerating digital transformation in institutional food services,” said Sandipan Mitra, Co-Founder and CEO, HungerBox.
