As has been previously established…it is never too soon to be thinking about the Kentucky Derby. So, with Further Ado, we present a prime-time Derby contender.

Now, don’t be fooled by the intro and think we are grammatically insufficient (even though we most likely are), the blossoming two-year old we are referencing as a front-runner for the 2026 Run for the Roses is in fact named Further Ado.

Trained by Brad Cox, this son of Gun Runner placed himself in the fast lane on the road to the Kentucky Derby with a nice score in the grade 2 Jockey Club Stakes at Churchill Downs on November 29, 2025. Breaking alertly from the gates on a chilly day in Louisville, Further Ado stalked a solid early pace (23.35 opening quarter mile, 46.76 half mile) under jockey Irad Ortiz Jr. and kept himself in the clear up the backstretch. Remaining outside horses as the runners turned for home, this Spendthrift Farm owned chestnut moved alongside the front-running Soldier N Diplomat. As the two battled down the lane, the Soldier would not surrender, but as the wire drew ever closer, Further Ado was the better as he ran clear and crossed the finish a length and three quarters to the good.

Picking up ten qualifying points for a position in the starting gates on the first Saturday in May was a major plus in winning the Jockey Club Stakes. The fact Further Ado ran strong beneath the Twin Spires on the oval where the Kentucky Derby is contested makes it even better. Engaging in a race where he had to fight to make the lead might be most important as it showed another dimension for a horse coming off a romping 20-length score in his previous race at Keeneland.

“We saw a big effort from Further Ado in the Jockey Club”, says Brad Cox. “It’s obviously very nice when you see your horse run well at Churchill Downs and it gives you confidence moving forward. We are excited about this win and will turn our attention towards getting him to the first Saturday in May.”

Trainer Brad Cox picked up his 500th win at Churchill Downs on November 29 but would love nothing more than to lead Further Ado to the winner’s circle on May 2, 2026 in Kentucky Derby 152.

Churchill Downs

The victory in the Jockey Club Stakes was the second win in four career starts for Further Ado and raised his on-track earnings to $320,703. This score also marked the 500th career win for trainer Brad Cox at Churchill Downs. Spendthrift Farm purchased this colt for $550,000 as a two-year-old and with Further Ado hope to gain their first win in the world’s most famous race. The Kentucky Derby will be contested on May 2, 2026. The next start for Further Ado is to be determined.

The post Crypto News: Donald Trump-Aligned Fed Governor To Speed Up Fed Rate Cuts? appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. In recent crypto news, Stephen Miran swore in as the latest Federal Reserve governor on September 16, 2025, slipping into the board’s last open spot right before the Federal Open Market Committee kicks off its two-day rate discussion. Traders are betting heavily on a 25-basis-point trim, which would bring the federal funds rate down to 4.00%-4.25%, based on CME FedWatch Tool figures from September 15, 2025. Miran, who’s been Trump’s top economic advisor and a supporter of his trade ideas, joins a seven-member board where just three governors come from Democratic picks, according to the Fed’s records updated that same day. Crypto News: Miran’s Background and Quick Path to Confirmation The Senate greenlit Miran on September 15, 2025, with a tight 48-47 vote, following his nomination on September 2, 2025, as per a recent crypto news update. His stint runs only until January 31, 2026, stepping in for Adriana D. Kugler, who stepped down in August 2025 for reasons not made public. Miran earned his economics Ph.D. from Harvard and worked at the Treasury back in Trump’s first go-around. Afterward, he moved to Hudson Bay Capital Management as an economist, then looped back to the White House in December 2024 to head the Council of Economic Advisers. There, he helped craft Trump’s “reciprocal tariffs” approach, aimed at fixing trade gaps with China and the EU. He wouldn’t quit his White House gig, which irked Senator Elizabeth Warren at the September 7, 2025, confirmation hearings. That limited time frame means Miran gets to cast a vote straight away at the FOMC session starting September 16, 2025. The full board now features Chair Jerome H. Powell (Trump pick, term ends 2026), Vice Chair Philip N. Jefferson (Biden, to 2036), and folks like Lisa D. Cook (Biden, to 2028) and Michael S. Barr…
