The crypto market has witnessed a noteworthy rise in fundraising in November 2025. Throughout November, the industry has recorded a historical high fundraising of $2.38 billion. As per the data from CryptoRank, a well-known crypto data and analytics provider, the landmark crypto deals have fueled this fundraising surge. Crypto Fundraising Claims Historic Monthly High, Dunamu, Ripple, and Kalshi Take Lead

Based on the on-chain data, throughout November, the crypto fundraising secured a notable $2.38 billion. This figure shows a considerable surge above the previous bull cycle peaks. Specifically, Naver Finance’s buyout of Dunamu, accounting for $10.3B emerged as a top merger deal backing November’s crypto fundraising events.

Additionally, Kalshi, a prominent and regulated prediction market entity, obtained an overall $1B in investment at a valuation of $11B. Along with that, it also got support from well-known firms such as Paradigm, Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), and Sequoia Capital. Following that, Ripple secured the next position with a strategic funding round of up to $500M at a valuation of $40B. It reportedly acquired capital from Galaxy Digital, Pantera Capital, and other popular institutional players.

The respective deals reflect rising investor appeal for mature cryptocurrency platforms, while also indicating a shift toward infrastructure scaling and strategic consolidation. At the same time, the legacy venture capital (VC) platforms and crypto funds’ participation underscores the shift toward the mainstream usage. In the same vein, the rising fundraising activity of November highlights the broader crypto inflows into projects with long-term utility and regulatory positioning. Moreover, the $2.38B in this monthly crypto fundraising has outcompeted November 2021’s $1.48B, May 2021’s $1.53B, and March 2021’s $1.63B.

Setting Unique Standard for New Era Amid Rising Institutional Backing

According to CryptoRank, November’s heightened crypto fundraising suggests the increased investment engagement with early-stage offerings and private rounds. Additionally, the stunning $2.38B mark is also setting a new standard, led by strategic investments and wide-scale acquisitions instead of speculative hype. Overall, this signals the market maturation, while the capital coming from institutions is reshaping the landscape of crypto fundraising.

The post The Future of Ethereum is Not in Memecoins, But in “Low-Risk” DeFi: Vitalik Buterin ⋆ ZyCrypto appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Advertisement &nbsp &nbsp Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has stated that the future of the second-largest blockchain network is not in “passing trends” like Non Fungible Tokens (NFTs) or meme coins, but in low-risk solutions like Decentralized Finance (DeFi). He gave these comments in an essay titled “Low-risk defi can be for Ethereum what search was for Google”.  DeFi Can do the Same Wonders for Ethereum that Search Did for Google-Buterin The essay’s title itself is a fascinating insight into Buterin’s plans for the future, as Google’s search engine is among the biggest success stories in the history of tech. It basically redefined the online experience and played a big role in the digital age.  However, the analogy may not be perfect in the case of Ethereum, as Google started as a search engine, and all the other revolutionary tech applications spawned from it. Ethereum, on the other hand, is a programmable ledger that has developed numerous solutions over the years, DeFi being one of them. Other examples include Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs), memecoins, NFTs, and others.  Buterin discussed the role of each facet of Ethereum’s application in a broader context. He wrote: “One of the important tensions in the Ethereum community for a long time has been the tension between (i) applications that bring in enough revenue to economically sustain the ecosystem, whether that means sustaining the value of ETH or supporting individual projects and (ii) applications that satisfy the underlying goals that brought people into Ethereum.” Advertisement &nbsp He lists DeFi as an application that can fall under both sections and uplift the blockchain for the future.  “Low-risk defi, with a goal of achieving global democratized access to payments and savings in valuable asset categories (eg. major currencies with competitive interest rates, stocks, bonds”, he wrote.
