Chainlink News: Chainlink Integrates Atlas to Improve DeFi Transaction Ordering

3 min read

Chainlink acquires Atlas, enhancing DeFi transaction efficiency and enabling non-toxic MEV recapture across multiple blockchain ecosystems.

Chainlink has acquired Atlas, the FastLane-developed transaction-ordering solution, aiming to improve DeFi transaction efficiency. This acquisition brings Atlas into Chainlink SVR, a solution for the recapture of non-toxic Maximal Extractable Value (MEV). The move will help to expand sustainable revenue streams for decentralized finance protocols across multiple blockchain ecosystems.

Atlas technology allows for DeFi protocols such as Compound and Venus to properly harvest value chain opportunities from liquidations in an efficient manner. In the past, value has frequently been lost to third-party bots, which would lower the revenue for the protocol.

Now integrated with Chainlink SVR Atlas optimizes the flow of order auctions with application-specific value recapture. Chainlink SVR has already completed $460M+ in liquidations and recaptured more than $10M in Oracle Extractable Value (OEV).

This integration facilitates multi-chain expansion, and SVR is now live on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, BNB Chain, and HyperEVM. Additional chains will follow and the benefits of Atlas technology will be extended throughout the DeFi ecosystem. Chainlink holds more than 70% of the DeFi ecosystem, processing $27 trillion in transaction value and offering developers reliable and decentralized oracle infrastructure.

Atlas personnel from FastLane will join Chainlink for seamless support to current users migrating from Atlas RedStone deployments. FastLane will maintain our independent operations and work as a strategic partner to support the adoption of SVR and support the growth of the ecosystem.

Atlas Acquisition Accelerates Sustainable Value Recapture

Chainlink SVR has a focus on non-toxic MEV i.e. backrun liquidation without enabling harmful activities such as frontrunning or sandwich attacks. This means that protocols can earn extra revenue and still provide a secure and transparent transaction environment.

The integration of Atlas helps DeFi protocols to increase revenue through the enhancement of the order flow technology of SVR. “Uniting Atlas’s proven order flow auction technology with Chainlink SVR creates the most effective value recapture system in DeFi,” said Johann Eid, Chainlink Labs Chief Business Officer. This helps to expand SVR to new ecosystems faster and is a way to generate more sustainable revenue.

One of the key ways that differential revenue sharing is used by the World Bank and other development banks is to enable integrated protocols to share some of the value that is captured, enabling long-term economic sustainability. The current implementation of the Ethereum mainnet will still use Flashbots MEV-Share. However, Atlas makes it possible to deploy on more chains.

The move indicates Changelink’s growth from a data feed provider into transaction ordering and value protection. By concentrating on non-toxic MEV capture, it reinforces its existence as a top decentralized oracle provider. SVR adoption is likely to expand across new protocols, which will result in greater economic efficiency for the DeFi ecosystem everywhere.

With Atlas being fully integrated in Chainlink SVR DeFi protocols are allowed to maximize liquidation revenue safely. This acquisition puts Chainlink at the forefront of multi-chain DeFi innovation. It helps in reinforcing developer support, increasing sustainable revenue, and building decentralized financial security. SVR expansion ensures protocols to retain captured value, while improving transparency and reducing leaks to third-party bots.

Cryptos Signal Divergence Ahead of Fed Rate Decision

Cryptos Signal Divergence Ahead of Fed Rate Decision

The post Cryptos Signal Divergence Ahead of Fed Rate Decision appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Crypto assets send conflicting signals ahead of the Federal Reserve’s September rate decision. On-chain data reveals a clear decrease in Bitcoin and Ethereum flowing into centralized exchanges, but a sharp increase in altcoin inflows. The findings come from a Tuesday report by CryptoQuant, an on-chain data platform. The firm’s data shows a stark divergence in coin volume, which has been observed in movements onto centralized exchanges over the past few weeks. Bitcoin and Ethereum Inflows Drop to Multi-Month Lows Sponsored Sponsored Bitcoin has seen a dramatic drop in exchange inflows, with the 7-day moving average plummeting to 25,000 BTC, its lowest level in over a year. The average deposit per transaction has fallen to 0.57 BTC as of September. This suggests that smaller retail investors, rather than large-scale whales, are responsible for the recent cash-outs. Ethereum is showing a similar trend, with its daily exchange inflows decreasing to a two-month low. CryptoQuant reported that the 7-day moving average for ETH deposits on exchanges is around 783,000 ETH, the lowest in two months. Other Altcoins See Renewed Selling Pressure In contrast, other altcoin deposit activity on exchanges has surged. The number of altcoin deposit transactions on centralized exchanges was quite steady in May and June of this year, maintaining a 7-day moving average of about 20,000 to 30,000. Recently, however, that figure has jumped to 55,000 transactions. Altcoins: Exchange Inflow Transaction Count. Source: CryptoQuant CryptoQuant projects that altcoins, given their increased inflow activity, could face relatively higher selling pressure compared to BTC and ETH. Meanwhile, the balance of stablecoins on exchanges—a key indicator of potential buying pressure—has increased significantly. The report notes that the exchange USDT balance, around $273 million in April, grew to $379 million by August 31, marking a new yearly high. CryptoQuant interprets this surge as a reflection of…
