Strategy announced it has acquired an additional 3,015 BTC for approximately $204.1 million, paying an average price of around $67,700 per Bitcoin.
Following the purchase, the company now holds a total of 720,737 BTC as of March 1, 2026.
According to the announcement, Strategy has acquired its total Bitcoin position for approximately $54.77 billion, at an average purchase price of about $75,985 per BTC.
The latest acquisition was executed below the firm’s overall average cost basis, slightly lowering the blended entry price across its treasury holdings.
With more than 720,000 BTC on its balance sheet, Strategy remains by far the largest publicly known corporate holder of Bitcoin.
The new purchase reinforces the company’s ongoing capital allocation model, which centers on accumulating Bitcoin as its primary treasury reserve asset.
The acquisition comes amid Bitcoin trading in the high-$60,000 range, positioning the firm to continue adding exposure during periods of market consolidation rather than waiting for new all-time highs.
Strategy’s approach remains consistent: incremental purchases during pullbacks and volatility phases, increasing long-term exposure regardless of short-term price swings.
Large-scale corporate accumulation of this magnitude continues to influence supply dynamics. With more than 720,000 BTC now removed from circulating liquidity into long-term corporate custody, the structural supply available on the open market tightens further.
Whether this strategy ultimately enhances shareholder value depends on Bitcoin’s long-term price trajectory, but the company’s commitment to accumulation remains clear and ongoing.
