PANews reported on March 3rd that, according to PR Newswire, American Bitcoin Corp. (NASDAQ: ABTC) announced the purchase of 11,298 Bitcoin mining rigs, expected to add approximately 3.05 EH/s of hashrate, with a single-rig efficiency of approximately 13.5 J/TH. Delivery and deployment are expected to be completed at the Drumheller mining farm in March 2026. After the expansion, the company's total number of mining rigs will reach 89,242, with a hashrate of approximately 28.1 EH/s and an average efficiency of approximately 16.0 J/TH. The company stated that this expansion aims to continuously accumulate Bitcoin at a cost structure below the spot price by deploying high-efficiency mining rigs and optimizing electricity costs, while maintaining the ability to flexibly adjust production capacity according to network and market changes.
