PANews reported on March 9th that, according to Jinshi News, the Iranian Council of Experts confirmed Mojtaba Khamenei as the new Supreme Leader of Iran early this morning (March 9th). According to the Iranian constitution, the Supreme Leader has almost final decision-making power over all major matters and serves as the Supreme Commander of the Iranian Armed Forces. Public information shows that Mojtaba Khamenei was born in 1969 and is the second son of the late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
