As Bitcoin Hits a 6-Month Low at $96K, Whales and Traders Rotate to Bitcoin Hyper’s $27M Presale

Quick Facts:

  • ➡ Bitcoin fell to a six-month low as equities retreated; long-term holders sold ~815K $BTC in a month, intensifying sell-side pressure.
  • ➡ The selloff looks like a supply shock and de-risking rather than a structural failure.
  • ➡ Capital rotation is favoring utility-led presales like Bitcoin Hyper, which saw a whale snap up tokens worth half a million dollars on Thursday.

Bitcoin is likely to end the week under pressure, as it slips almost 6% from Thursday’s high and continues to hover under $100K.

That move set a six-month low and arrived right as stocks rolled over, creating a coordinated pullback across risk assets.

Traders reacted to the latest government shutdown scare by trimming leverage and waiting for clearer macro signals. When liquidity thins out, crypto tends to react quickly, and this week was no exception.

The supply side made the picture sharper.

Roughly 815K $BTC has left long-term holder wallets over the past month. That’s one of the largest distribution waves since early 2024.

A CryptoQuant chart of long-term Bitcoin holders selling around 815K BTC over the past 30 days, indicating increased sell-side pressure.

But the good news is that it’s not a panic move, but a mechanical transfer of supply into the open market at a time when demand is cooling. The result hit spot levels fast, clearing out several weeks of gains and resetting pricing across leveraged pairs.

When majors compress and volatility rises, capital rarely exits the crypto ecosystem altogether. It shifts toward sectors that feel insulated from short-term market chop.

In 2025, that rotation has favored emerging utility tokens built around utility and clear roadmaps because pricing stages remain accessible and narrative momentum compounds before tokens hit exchanges.

That dynamic explains the rising attention on Bitcoin Hyper ($HYPER).

While traders continue to average into $BTC, many want a way to stay connected to the wider Bitcoin story without riding every pullback.

An altcoin tied directly to Bitcoin throughput is appealing in that environment because the thesis does not depend on daily candles, making it one of the best crypto to buy now.

$27M Raised: Why $HYPER is on Early-Backer Radars This Season

Bitcoin Hyper is building a Bitcoin-secured Layer 2 for fast and cheap $BTC movement and dApp execution at speeds Bitcoin itself cannot match.

Here are its key components:

  • A canonical bridge to move assets in and out,
  • an SVM execution layer for high-throughput activity,
  • and ZK Proofs to anchor everything back to the main chain.

The aim is to keep Bitcoin as the settlement base and shift high-frequency tasks to a system that can handle them.

When base-layer transactions slow down or fees climb, users either wait or choose an alternative path. A Layer 2 built for real $BTC movement gives them a path that does not rely on a separate synthetic token or wrapped instrument.

If a user needs to send $BTC quickly or build apps that require rapid execution, Bitcoin Hyper offers a way to do that without compromising security.

The presale data reflects that shift. The raise stands at $27.5M, with the live presale price at $0.013275. Adding to the appeal, the staking rewards sit at 42%, giving an attractive stream of passive income during the holding period.

Whale Scoops Up $HYPER Worth Half a Million Dollars as Presale Heats Up

Presales often rely on retail buyers early on, but consistent whale participation usually signals confidence in the infrastructure rather than short-term momentum trading.

That’s exactly what’s going on with Bitcoin Hyper. The project has been witnessing steady whale traffic – with one investor buying tokens worth $502K on Wednesday – despite the broader market downturn.

The project’s smart contracts have undergone external audits by Coinsult and SpyWolf, a point that becomes increasingly relevant when markets are jumpy. A presale with published audits and no private allocation premiums offers a cleaner entry than most new coins.

At $0.013275, the current stage still sits early enough to offer upside (ranging up to 10,000% in 2030) if the execution roadmap lands as planned, as our $HYPER price forecast points out.

Cryptos Signal Divergence Ahead of Fed Rate Decision

Cryptos Signal Divergence Ahead of Fed Rate Decision

The post Cryptos Signal Divergence Ahead of Fed Rate Decision appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Crypto assets send conflicting signals ahead of the Federal Reserve’s September rate decision. On-chain data reveals a clear decrease in Bitcoin and Ethereum flowing into centralized exchanges, but a sharp increase in altcoin inflows. The findings come from a Tuesday report by CryptoQuant, an on-chain data platform. The firm’s data shows a stark divergence in coin volume, which has been observed in movements onto centralized exchanges over the past few weeks. Bitcoin and Ethereum Inflows Drop to Multi-Month Lows Sponsored Sponsored Bitcoin has seen a dramatic drop in exchange inflows, with the 7-day moving average plummeting to 25,000 BTC, its lowest level in over a year. The average deposit per transaction has fallen to 0.57 BTC as of September. This suggests that smaller retail investors, rather than large-scale whales, are responsible for the recent cash-outs. Ethereum is showing a similar trend, with its daily exchange inflows decreasing to a two-month low. CryptoQuant reported that the 7-day moving average for ETH deposits on exchanges is around 783,000 ETH, the lowest in two months. Other Altcoins See Renewed Selling Pressure In contrast, other altcoin deposit activity on exchanges has surged. The number of altcoin deposit transactions on centralized exchanges was quite steady in May and June of this year, maintaining a 7-day moving average of about 20,000 to 30,000. Recently, however, that figure has jumped to 55,000 transactions. Altcoins: Exchange Inflow Transaction Count. Source: CryptoQuant CryptoQuant projects that altcoins, given their increased inflow activity, could face relatively higher selling pressure compared to BTC and ETH. Meanwhile, the balance of stablecoins on exchanges—a key indicator of potential buying pressure—has increased significantly. The report notes that the exchange USDT balance, around $273 million in April, grew to $379 million by August 31, marking a new yearly high. CryptoQuant interprets this surge as a reflection of…
