Ripple (XRP) Makes Big Announcement: Critical Approval Received from the Country It Has Been Using as Its Headquarters for Eight Years!

The post Ripple (XRP) Makes Big Announcement: Critical Approval Received from the Country It Has Been Using as Its Headquarters for Eight Years! appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. US technology company Ripple (XRP) announced that it has received approval to expand its payment services in Singapore. Accordingly, Ripple has reportedly received approval from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) to expand the scope of its payment services license. With this move, Ripple will be able to further expand its provision of regulatory-based payment infrastructure to local financial institutions. Under this approval, Ripple will be able to expand the scope of regulated payment services it offers to banks and corporate clients. Ripple President Monica Long stated that Ripple values Singapore’s forward-thinking approach, saying, “Ripple has always taken a regulation-focused approach. Singapore is an important market with a clear regulatory environment. This expanded license strengthens our ability to continue investing in Singapore and build the infrastructure financial institutions need to move money efficiently, quickly, and securely.” Fiona Murray, Ripple’s Head of Asia-Pacific, said, “On-chain activity in the region has increased by approximately 70% year-over-year. Singapore is at the heart of this, and the expanded approval will be an opportunity to strengthen regulated services for institutional clients.” Ripple has been operating in Singapore since 2017 and has positioned it as an important strategic base. In 2023, it also received an MPI license to offer regulatory-based digital token services in Singapore. *This is not investment advice. (Photo by Gary Friedman/Los Angeles Times via Getty Images) Los Angeles Times via Getty Images The Los Angeles Dodgers managed a rare feat when they won a consecutive World Series Championship to cap off a season under scrutiny. After the team followed up its acquisitions of Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto with several more star additions this past winter, it entered the season as a preeminent championship favorite, earning plenty of negative attention for its leading payroll. And even after the team won its back-to-back title, the negative attention persisted. “That’s why baseball sucks,” former Philadelphia Eagles star turned podcast host Jason Kelce said on the “New Heights” show…
David Sacks sends silly legal threat to the New York Times

David Sacks sends silly legal threat to the New York Times

The post David Sacks sends silly legal threat to the New York Times appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. David Sacks, the Trump administration’s AI and crypto czar and co-host of the All In Podcast, announced over the weekend that he’d hired Claire Locke (one of the largest law firms specializing in defamation in the US) to force the New York Times (NYT) to “abandon” its article concerning his conflicts of interest between his investments and role in the government. The problem? Abandoning an article doesn’t mean anything in the realm of journalism and the legal threat letter doesn’t request a retraction. The article in question, which showed that Sacks continues to have investments in over 400 crypto and AI-related companies despite his role within the government, relayed a general sentiment of opaqueness from the Trump administration and Special Government Employees. Sacks’ disclosures hilariously state that Palantir is a software as a service (SaaS) company and allowed him to hold on to investments in crypto-related company BitGo, which benefitted from the GENIUS Act and plans to IPO shortly. It’s clear that through Craft Ventures and his own personal investments that Sacks stands to gain financially from his influence within the federal government, in spite of the White House saying that he’s started or completed sales of “over 99 percent” of his “holdings in companies that could potentially raise a conflict of interest concern” with no proof. The fact some of these holdings have not yet been sold a year after Sacks was given the title of AI and crypto czar is also head scratching. Read more: Trump’s crypto reserve conveniently mirrors David Sacks-backed fund All in on the Streisand effect Sacks, who has unprecedented access to the White House, took to X shortly after the NYT published the article to, essentially, publish an article of his own. XAG/USD nears $58.00 amid US Dollar weakness

XAG/USD nears $58.00 amid US Dollar weakness

The post XAG/USD nears $58.00 amid US Dollar weakness appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Silver (XAG/USD) rallies further on Monday and is on track for a 15% appreciation over the last six trading days, after reaching fresh record highs at $57.88. Market expectations that the Federal Reserve (Fed) will further ease monetary policy next week and a mild risk-averse mood are boosting precious metals. US macroeconomic data released after the US government shutdown and dovish comments by Fed officials have boosted market expectations of a quarter-point rate cut after the November 10 meeting. Apart from that, rumours that the White House economic adviser, Kevin Hassett, will replace Jerome Powell as the next Fed Chairman are feeding expectations of more interest rate cuts next year. Technical Analysis: Next resistances are at $58,00 and $60.00 XAG/USD 4-Hour Chart The technical picture remains positive, although the Relative Strength Index (RSI) has reached overbought levels at most timeframes, which should act as a warning for buyers. The 4-hour RSI is above 80.0, suggesting the possibility of a correction, but the fundamental background is underpinning speculative demand for precious metals. Immediate resistance is at the 161.8% retracement of the mid-November pullback, around $58.00. Above here, the next upside target would be the $60.00 psychological level. The 261.8 Fibonacci retracement of the mentioned cycle is at $63.80. On the downside, intraday support is at $56.45. A bearish reaction below that level might seek support at the previous record high, in the $54.45 area (November 13 high), ahead of the November 27 high, at $52.75. Silver FAQs Silver is a precious metal highly traded among investors. It has been historically used as a store of value and a medium of exchange. Although less popular than Gold, traders may turn to Silver to diversify their investment portfolio, for its intrinsic value or as a potential hedge during high-inflation periods. Investors can buy…

XRP suffers massive $10 billion collapse in 24 hours

The post XRP suffers massive $10 billion collapse in 24 hours appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Amid the ongoing cryptocurrency market sell-off, XRP has endured some of the sharpest losses, wiping out over $10 billion in value in the past 24 hours. By press time, XRP’s market capitalization stood at $123.15 billion, down from $134 billion a day earlier. The decline represents a staggering $10.85 billion wipeout, making the token the biggest loser among top assets by market cap. XRP one-day market cap chart. Source: CMC The sell-off also dragged XRP’s price significantly lower. The asset has fallen nearly 7% in the past 24 hours to trade at $2.03, erasing much of the momentum it attempted to rebuild earlier in the week. On a weekly timeframe, XRP is down nearly 1%. XRP seven-day price chart. Source: Finbold XRP loses key support levels At its current level, XRP is signaling bearishness, with its 50-day simple moving average (SMA) at $2.36 and its 200-day SMA at $2.65. The price now sits 13.6% below the shorter-term average and 22.9% below the longer-term one. The 14-day Relative Strength Index (RSI) stands at 45.8 in neutral territory, pointing to consolidation without immediate oversold pressure.  XRP’s sell-off is part of the broader market downturn that saw major assets, led by Bitcoin (BTC), wipe out billions in the past 24 hours.  Part of the decline was driven by a historic move in Japan’s bond market, where for the first time since 2008, yields on 2-year Japanese Government Bonds breached the 1% threshold, signaling rising expectations of a Bank of Japan rate hike. XRP fundamentals  Notably, XRP’s market structure has weakened despite strong institutional developments, including significant inflows into the asset’s spot exchange-traded funds. Spot ETF inflows reached $666.6 million, driven largely by 21Shares’ new TOXR product, while exchange supplies fell 45% over the past 60 days, signaling sustained accumulation.  Large holders also added…
Kevin Hassett emerges as favourite to lead Fed as market price in new era of rate cuts

Kevin Hassett emerges as favourite to lead Fed as market price in new era of rate cuts

US President Donald Trump says he has already chosen the next Federal Reserve chair, but has stopped short of naming his preferred pick.“I know who I am going to pick, yeah. We’ll be announcing it,” Trump said on Sunday, speaking aboard Air Force One, Bloomberg reported.Behind the scenes, Kevin Hassett, the White House National Economic Council head, is strongly viewed by Trump allies as the clear favourite. He is the dominant name in the race to lead America’s central bank after Jerome Powell finishes his turbulent eight-year term in May 2026. Polymarket punters give him a 72% chance of getting nominated. Kevin Warsh, the banker and runner-up, has a 12% chance.Hassett’s popularity stems from his perceived alignment with the president’s conviction that the Fed is behind the curve, and said that if he were chair he “would be cutting rates right now” because “the data suggests that we should.”Why it mattersLower interest rates are a tailwind for riskier assets like cryptocurrency or tech stocks, because they push investors out of safe-haven assets like bonds.Hassett’s sudden rise to the top of Trump’s shortlist has turbocharged expectations for faster and deeper interest-rate cuts next year. Investors believe a Fed led by him would act aggressively to lower borrowing costs in a shift that could reshape everything from mortgages to crypto markets.US government bonds jumped last Monday after traders became convinced of the pick, signalling long-term investor confidence. The rush into Treasuries pushed the key 10-year yield down to 4%, its lowest point in a month.Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, who has been involved in managing the selection process, said in late November that Trump may announce the nominee before Christmas. To be sure, the official process to select a new Fed chair is not yet finished. Trump’s nominee will have to win confirmation from the Senate. And Hassett used his Sunday appearance on CBS’ Face the Nation to push back on suggestions he is the frontrunner, calling the reports a “rumor.” But Hassett also drew attention to what markets did the moment speculation escalated in favour of his candidacy. “We had a great Treasury auction, interest rates went down,” he said, adding that Americans should expect Trump to choose someone who will help deliver “cheaper car loans and easier access to mortgages at lower rate.”Lance Datskoluo is DL News’ Europe-based markets correspondent. Daarom geven we les. Daarom bouwen we tools en spellen. Daarom trainen we docenten.
