Energy Fuels Inc., a leading U.S. producer of uranium, rare earths and critical materials, announced the appointment of Ross R. Bhappu as chief executive officer, effective April 15, 2026. Bhappu, who has served as president since August 2025, succeeds Mark S. Chalmers, who is retiring after more than eight years as CEO. Chalmers will remain with the company as an exclusive uranium and rare earth consultant for two years, ensuring a smooth transition of leadership.

The leadership change comes at a significant time for the critical materials sector, with increasing global demand for uranium for nuclear energy and rare earth elements for various high-tech and clean energy applications. Bhappu brings more than 30 years of leadership experience spanning mining, critical minerals, finance and international resource development to the role. His background positions him to guide Energy Fuels as it operates the only fully licensed conventional uranium mill in the U.S., the White Mesa Mill in Utah, and develops international projects.

Energy Fuels has been the top U.S. producer of natural uranium concentrate, supplying nuclear utilities. The company’s operations and projects extend beyond uranium to include rare earth elements, heavy mineral sands, vanadium, and the development of medical isotopes for emerging cancer therapies. Its strategic projects include the Vara Mada Project in Madagascar, the Bahia Project in Brazil, and the Donald Project in Australia, the latter developed through a joint venture with Astron Limited.

The announcement was disseminated on behalf of Energy Fuels by BillionDollarClub, part of the InvestorBrandNetwork. The full press release is available at https://ibn.fm/UakDn. The company noted that the latest news and updates relating to its NYSE American and TSX listed shares (UUUU and EFR) are available in its newsroom at http://ibn.fm/UUUU. This leadership transition underscores the company’s focus on maintaining operational expertise and strategic direction in the competitive and geopolitically significant critical minerals market.
