Comey defiant after second indictment from Trump DOJ: 'I’m still not afraid'

Former FBI Director James Comey responded to the Trump DOJ's second indictment against him on Tuesday after it was announced he was charged with threatening the life of President Donald Trump, CNN reported.

Comey shared a defiant video message in a Substack post following the indictment, which stemmed from an image of seashells that Comey posted on Instagram last year while on a beach walk along the North Carolina coast that said "8647."

"Well, they're back," Comey said. "This time about a picture of seashells on a North Carolina beach a year ago. And this won't be the end of it. But nothing has changed with me."

"I’m still innocent. I’m still not afraid,” Comey said. "And I still believe in the independent federal judiciary, so let’s go."

Comey, who Trump has viewed as an enemy, has been targeted in the past by the Trump administration and the DOJ. The last case brought against him was tossed in November.
