Critics and analysts criticized Trump's reaction to Rudy Giuliani's hospitalization

On Sunday President Donald Trump stunned analysts with his Truth Social post about Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani's hospitalization in Florida.

According to reporting by The New York Times, Giuliani is listed in critical but stable condition.

Rather than simply expressing concern, Trump blamed Democrats and the "Radical Left" for Giuliani's health crisis, connecting his friend's medical emergency to 2020 election claims and allegations of cheating.

Trump praised Giuliani as a "True Warrior" and claimed "he was right about everything."

Analysts and critics took to social media to react.

Political commentator, Elaina McCartney, criticized Trump's post, noting that all 60 election-related court cases were dismissed and some lawyers involved faced bar discipline. She added, "The President of the US is stark raving bonkers, daily, publicly," on Bluesky.

"This is an absolutely demented statement from the president. He lost the 2020 election and that has nothing to do with Giuliani’s health problems," journalist Aaron Rupar posted on Bluesky.

Also on Blueky, political observer Xavier González, criticized Trump for making Giuliani's medical crisis about himself rather than expressing genuine concern for his hospitalized ally.
