Defiant MAGA Republican uncorks vulgar retort as salacious accusations mount

An embattled MAGA Republican on Tuesday uncorked a vulgar response to the mounting misconduct accusations against him, according to a new report.

Rep. Chuck Edwards (R-NC) has been accused by multiple female staffers of making unwanted advances and singling some of them out for special attention, despite Edwards being married. The House Ethics Committee is investigating the alleged "improper relationships" between the congressman and his staffers.

Edwards defended his conduct in a vulgar tirade during a speaking engagement at Blue Ridge Community College in Flat Rock.

“In the mountains, we have to shovel horses---,” he told The Assembly before the event. “In D.C. I have to deal with horses---. And these allegations are more horses---.”

He added that the "baseless allegations [are] designed to impact the campaign driven by those who want to settle old political scores.”

The Assembly asked Edwards if he plans to resign from Congress, as Reps. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) and Tony Gonzalez (R-TX) did after they were accused of sexual misconduct.

“I have no reason to resign,” Edwards said. “I have done nothing wrong.”
