NVIDIA GeForce NOW introduces Gaijin single sign-on for seamless gaming and adds seven titles, including Dead as Disco and PowerWash Simulator 2.

NVIDIA GeForce NOW Adds Gaijin Single Sign-On, Expands Library

Cloud gaming just got smoother for NVIDIA GeForce NOW users. This week, the service added Gaijin single sign-on (SSO), streamlining access to popular games like War Thunder across devices. Alongside this update, seven new titles, including the rhythm brawler Dead as Disco, have joined the platform, further bolstering its game library.

Gaijin SSO allows users to link their Gaijin.net accounts directly within the GeForce NOW app. Once connected, players can launch supported titles without the hassle of repeated logins or password management. This mirrors existing integrations with platforms like Xbox and Ubisoft Connect, offering a consistent, cross-device gaming experience.

For NVIDIA, this move is another step in solidifying GeForce NOW’s appeal as a leading cloud gaming service. Since its launch out of beta in February 2020, GeForce NOW has aimed to provide instant access to PC games users already own, leveraging NVIDIA's cloud infrastructure. The platform operates on a "bring your own games" model, supporting purchases from Steam, Epic Games Store, and other PC storefronts.

New Games, RTX 5080 Performance

The latest update also includes seven new games, all optimized for NVIDIA’s cutting-edge RTX 5080 GPUs for Ultimate tier members. Highlights include:

  • Dead as Disco: A neon-soaked rhythm brawler where precision and style are key.
  • HUNTDOWN: OVERTIME: A continuation of the retro-inspired action shooter.
  • PowerWash Simulator 2: A satisfying sequel to the cult hit cleaning sim.
  • Kiln: A creative, pottery-inspired crafting game available on Steam and Xbox Game Pass.

These additions bring the total number of games added to GeForce NOW in May to over 20, building on a prior announcement that almost the entire "Ready-to-Play" library is now RTX 5080-ready. Such upgrades cater to the growing demand for high-performance gaming in the cloud, a market NVIDIA has been aggressively targeting with its tiered subscription plans.

Cloud Gaming’s Growing Appeal

Cloud gaming services like GeForce NOW are becoming increasingly popular as gamers look for flexible, hardware-agnostic solutions. The platform is accessible on PCs, Macs, smartphones, tablets, and even smart TVs, making it a versatile option for those who want high-end gaming without investing in expensive hardware. GeForce NOW’s Ultimate tier, in particular, appeals to power users with features like 4K resolution, ray tracing, and extended session lengths.

By integrating Gaijin SSO and continuing to expand its library, NVIDIA is not only simplifying the user experience but also keeping pace with competitors in the cloud gaming space. With weekly updates announced during "GFN Thursdays," the company has maintained a steady stream of new features and content to retain and grow its user base.

For gamers, the ability to seamlessly switch between devices and enjoy consistent performance is a significant value proposition. Whether it's streaming War Thunder on a laptop or diving into Dead as Disco on a smartphone, GeForce NOW continues to make the case for cloud gaming's viability as a mainstream option.

Looking ahead, it will be interesting to see how NVIDIA leverages its cloud gaming infrastructure to further differentiate itself. With Gaijin SSO now live and a strong May lineup, the company is clearly focused on enhancing the user experience while keeping its technology at the forefront of performance.
