Cardano News Today as Hoskinson Opens Wyoming Policy Center

Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano and co-founder of Ethereum, announced the launch of the Hoskinson Government and Policy Center, a new initiative focused on modernizing governance, enhancing rural healthcare, and supporting technological innovation in Wyoming. 

The move marked Hoskinson’s latest effort to bridge blockchain principles with real-world policymaking and signaled what he called a “fun” and transformative 2026 for the state.

The Hoskinson Government and Policy Center will focus on advancing transparent governance, responsible innovation, and technology-driven progress across Wyoming, as per a release.

Building on Hoskinson’s deep investment in the state, including a medical clinic in Gillette and a bison ranch in Platte County, the center aims to make Wyoming a model for how decentralized systems can improve lives.

Hoskinson said during the launch that the goal is to prove that with smart policy and emerging technology, Wyoming can lead the US. 

The Center’s immediate objectives include helping pass legislation to expand access to stem-cell therapy while developing frameworks that support blockchain and agricultural modernization.

Who runs it: Wheeler, Ladd, and Wolfson lead execution

The Policy Center will be led by Karen Wheeler, former Deputy Secretary of State of Wyoming, who brings nearly four decades of public service experience.

Wheeler said that the Center’s mission is to unite innovation, collaboration, and practical governance to strengthen Wyoming’s communities. 

She will be joined by Kendrick Ladd, a Wyoming attorney and former US Army Officer, serving as General Counsel and Head of Policy, and Leo Wolfson, a veteran journalist who will oversee communications efforts.

Next steps: Coordination with the Wyoming Integrity PAC into 2026

The Policy Center will coordinate closely with the Wyoming Integrity Political Action Committee (PAC), an initiative Hoskinson introduced earlier this year to promote ethical and transparent procurement processes within the state.

The PAC aims to ensure that public sector innovation rests on fairness, accountability, and due diligence.

With both the Policy Center and the Integrity PAC gearing up for active participation in the 2026 elections, Hoskinson said, adding that he is looking forward to having “a lot of fun next year.”
