Boerse Stuttgart has partnered with Societe Generale, SG-Forge, and flatexDEGIRO to expand its blockchain settlement platform Seturion. Boerse Stuttgart Expands Blockchain Settlement Network

SG-Forge operates under the Markets in Crypto-Assets framework. French regulators granted the unit authorization to provide compliant crypto services. FlatexDEGIRO will connect its retail investor flow to the platform. The broker serves about 3.5 million users across 16 European countries.

Nasdaq’s European trading venues will also integrate with Seturion. This connection will support trading of tokenized securities on blockchain rails. The companies aim to reduce settlement costs and improve efficiency. They also seek to address fragmentation across national systems in Europe.

Matthias Voelkel, CEO of Boerse Stuttgart Group, described the goal clearly. He said, “With Seturion, we are building the European settlement platform for the unified European capital market.” He added that the platform offers an open industry solution. It aims to overcome Europe’s fragmented settlement landscape.

Seturion Platform and Wider EU Crypto Infrastructure Push

Boerse Stuttgart launched Seturion in September 2025. The platform aims to replace fragmented national settlement systems with a unified infrastructure. Seturion supports both public and private blockchains. It also allows settlement in central bank money and onchain cash. The platform is already operational at BX Digital in Switzerland. BX Digital operates as a FINMA-regulated DLT trading facility.

The partnership reflects a broader push among European institutions. Firms are building regulated blockchain infrastructure under MiCA rules. Qivalis, a European banking consortium, is developing a euro stablecoin. The group now includes 37 institutions after adding 25 banks.

Members include ABN AMRO, Rabobank, Nordea, and Intesa Sanpaolo. The consortium plans to launch its stablecoin in the second half of 2026. The latest Seturion expansion adds issuers, brokers, and trading venues. It marks another step in building a unified blockchain-based settlement system in Europe.
