A promise of brighter skin

LA PRAIRIE, the skincare brand from the Swiss skincare clinic founded in 1931, promises brighter skin through their White Caviar collection.

First released in 2017, the White Caviar collection has been upgraded for 2026. During a brand talk at the Raffles Makati on May 14, customers dressed in white were invited to try the essence and the serums. Most of the collection has been repackaged from plastic to glass, and the previous formulas were improved.

The White Caviar Collection targets cellular regeneration with La Prairie’s Exclusive Cellular Complex. Intrinsic aging, environmental aggressors, and oxidative stress all impair cellular function, reducing the skin’s ability to renew and protect itself. It is promised to deliver essential nutrients to support cellular renewal and enhance skin resilience. It received its first patent in 1998 and involves three labs to create.

It also focuses on skin structure with Caviar Extract which is supposed to restore firmness and elasticity at the core of the skin’s structure. The complex also contains brightening molecules, including Thiamidol, a human tyrosinase inhibitor which helps counteract melanin overproduction caused by UV exposure and photoaging.

These are due to the pillars on what La Prairie thinks makes up good skin: texture (refined, smooth, plump), tone (even pigmentation that reflects light), and structure (a strong dense collagen network that firms up the skin).

The White Caviar Collection includes the Light Infusion Essence, the new Light Infusion Eye Serum, Pearl Infusion, the Light Infusion Cream and finally UV protection for use during the day.

The Light Infusion Eye Serum is the line’s latest product, and is supposed to work by brightening, depuffing, and fixing the shape of the eye contour.

La Prairie is available at Rustan’s Beauty Source. On the Rustan’s Beauty Source website, the products are listed as ranging in price from P30,975 for the White Caviar Essence Extraordinaire to P51,250 for the White Caviar Creme Extraordinaire. — JLG
