THE National Capital Region’s (NCR) wage board has scheduled a public hearing on June 18, to kick off its wage review consultations for private-sector workers.
The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-NCR said on its Facebook page on Monday that discussions on a possible wage increase commenced on May 22, with around 100 labor representatives participating and noting 18 wage petitions and two position papers seeking increases ranging from P200 to P842 amid rising living costs and inflation.
The current minimum wage in NCR stands at P658-P695 following a P50 increase on July 18, 2025. — Erika Mae P. Sinaking
