A routine get-out-the-vote video from the Texas Republican Party sparked an ugly backlash within MAGA circles Tuesday, with conservative figures attacking the state's GOP chairman for being born in India and prominent activist Scott Presler for being gay.
The video featured Texas GOP Chairman Abraham George and Presler, a well-known conservative voter registration activist, standing outside Allen City Hall in Collin County urging Republicans to vote in the primary runoff. It was standard party unity content — until the replies rolled in.

Former FBI whistleblower Kyle Seraphin set the tone. "This is f------ nauseating," he wrote. "This is the Texas GOP. A man born and raised in India and a gay guy who doesn't know how to wear boots. Good luck and good night."
Conservative fundraiser Spence Rogers was equally blunt, writing: "An Indian and a gay guy walk into a bar…." leaving the punchline unwritten but the implication still unmistakable.
GOP precinct chair Sarah Fields added: "Dear Scott, this video is CRINGE and Abraham is NOT a conservative. We are voting him out at the next convention."
The attacks drew a sharp contrast with the video's message, in which George and Presler called for Republican unity heading into the general election. "Once this primary election runoff is over we're coming together," George said. "We are going to push for every single candidate in November."
Even the Texas Democratic Party weighed in, though considerably more mildly — mocking Presler's choice to tuck his jeans into his cowboy boots.
