YOM has partnered with LayerZero to expand its decentralized cloud gaming ecosystem beyond a single blockchain network. The collaboration is expected to provide users, publishers, and developers with seamless access to gaming assets, identities, and experiences across more than 150 blockchain ecosystems.

LayerZero has already established itself as a leading interoperability infrastructure provider within the Web3 sector by supporting major digital assets and protocols such as USDT0, USDe, Wrapped Bitcoin, and Stargate. Industry observers believe YOM’s integration into this ecosystem could represent an important advancement for decentralized cloud gaming infrastructure.

LayerZero’s Approach Reduces Cross-Chain Friction

Unlike conventional blockchain bridges that lock tokens on one network and issue wrapped assets on another, LayerZero reportedly uses a decentralized message-transport architecture. This model enables applications to communicate and operate across multiple blockchains without relying on intermediaries to custody user funds.

The distinction is considered especially important for cloud gaming platforms such as YOM, where assets, player identities, and session data need to move efficiently across various blockchain ecosystems during gameplay. Traditional bridge systems have often been criticized for introducing liquidity fragmentation and additional security vulnerabilities.

The integration is expected to allow YOM to coordinate cross-chain gaming activity without relying on custody-based bridge mechanisms, improving both security and user experience across decentralized gaming ecosystems.

The company indicated that LayerZero’s infrastructure already connects more than 150 blockchain networks, making it one of the most widely adopted omnichain interoperability frameworks in the crypto industry.

Decentralized Gaming Without Hardware Limitations

YOM, short for You Only Move or Yield Over Machine, operates as a decentralized cloud gaming network designed to stream high-end AAA games across a wide range of devices, including smartphones, browsers, and Telegram-based interfaces.

Rather than relying on centralized GPU server farms, the platform distributes workloads across a global network of nodes. Artificial intelligence systems reportedly direct players to the nearest available GPU resource, while publishers only need to upload games once for worldwide streaming and scaling.

The company stated that its decentralized architecture removes the need for expensive gaming consoles or high-performance PCs, potentially broadening access to premium gaming experiences for mainstream users.

The new omnichain functionality is expected to expand YOM’s accessibility even further. Users from different blockchain ecosystems will reportedly be able to connect to the gaming network without migrating assets or switching ecosystems. Similarly, publishers may integrate their games once while still reaching audiences across all supported chains.

Expanding the Reach of Decentralized Gaming

Cross-chain compatibility has long been viewed as one of the largest barriers preventing decentralized gaming from reaching mainstream adoption. Many blockchain games have traditionally launched within isolated ecosystems, forcing users to manage multiple wallets and navigate complicated asset transfers.

According to the project, YOM’s integration with LayerZero aims to eliminate much of that friction by allowing players to interact with the gaming network directly from their preferred blockchain environments.

By opening access to more than 150 blockchain ecosystems, the partnership could significantly expand YOM’s potential user base while strengthening the broader decentralized gaming infrastructure market.

The collaboration also highlights a growing trend within Web3 gaming, where interoperability and seamless user access are becoming critical priorities for platforms seeking mass-market adoption.
