Pi Network Launchpad Upgrade Goes Live After 478K Pioneers Test First Token

Pi Network updates Launchpad after 478K Pioneers tested its first token, with SLICE now live on Testnet until June 28.

Pi Network has updated its Launchpad participation flow after the first Testnet token launched on Pi Day 2026 attracted more than 478,000 participating Pioneers.

The update follows community feedback gathered during the first Launchpad test, which was designed to assess how Pioneers interact with ecosystem token mechanics in a Testnet setting.

The revised model introduces a simpler participation process, adjusted Launchpad mechanics, and user experience changes intended to make the testing process easier to follow.

A second Testnet token called SLICE is now live, giving Pioneers another opportunity to test the updated Pi Launchpad system before participation closes on Pi2Day, June 28.

Pi Network Updates Launchpad After First Test

Pi Network said the first Launchpad test helped measure how users joined token events. 

More than 478,000 Pioneers took part in the first Testnet launch. The activity gave the project feedback on the earlier participation model.

The new Launchpad flow is designed to make each step easier for users. Pioneers can now review token details before choosing a Test-Pi amount. 

After that, they can confirm participation inside the Pi Browser.

The update also changes parts of the Launchpad system used during Testnet token events. 

These changes came after Pi Network reviewed user feedback from the first launch. As a result, the second test will check whether the new model works better.

SLICE Test Token Goes Live on Testnet

SLICE is the second test token to launch through the Pi Network Launchpad. The token is linked to the Slice of Pi app during the current test. 

Pioneers can use the app and share feedback about the process. Pi Network said SLICE will only exist on Testnet and will never move to Mainnet. 

Therefore, the token is not meant for trading or real market use. Its role is to help users learn how ecosystem token mechanics work.

To join, users must open the Pi Launchpad inside the Pi Browser. 

They can then review the SLICE project and choose a Test-Pi commitment amount. After confirmation, they can interact with the Slice of Pi app.

Participation Open Until Pi2Day

The SLICE participation period will remain open until Pi2Day on June 28. During this period, Pioneers can test the new flow and submit feedback. 

Pi Network can use the results to study user behavior on the Launchpad.

The Launchpad test uses Test-Pi, which keeps the process separate from Mainnet activity. 

This allows users to learn without using live Pi tokens. It also gives developers a controlled setting for testing token participation.

More details are available through the Pi home screen for users who want to review the update. 

The current test focuses on access, feedback, and token education inside the Pi ecosystem. Pi Network has not described SLICE as a Mainnet asset or tradable token.
