This rally coincides with a notable surge in institutional participation, evidenced by Monday’s $17.19 million in HYPE ETF inflows—the strongest single-day performance in over a month.

The total value of assets under management across HYPE-focused exchange-traded funds jumped to $209.26 million on Monday, representing a significant increase from Friday’s $173.09 million. This rapid expansion signals growing institutional appetite for HYPE exposure.

Currently, three regulated investment vehicles provide mainstream investors with HYPE access: 21Shares’ THYP, Bitwise’s BHYP, and Grayscale’s HYPG. Since their collective launch approximately one month ago, these products have generated nearly $900 million in trading volume, with total net inflows hitting $153 million.

Blockchain analytics platform Lookonchain reported that Bitwise recently acquired an additional 77,097 HYPE tokens valued at roughly $5.18 million through the FalconX trading desk. This transaction reinforces the narrative of continued institutional accumulation.

How ETF Staking Works and Reward Mechanisms

Each of the three ETF offerings maintains direct HYPE token holdings and channels staking rewards to shareholders. Current annual staking yields stand at approximately 2.25%, with rewards calculated every minute, distributed daily, and automatically reinvested. Nearly 45% of the available token supply—about 434 million HYPE—is currently locked in staking.

Trading activity distribution varies among the products. BHYP and THYP have dominated volume metrics, while HYPG, being the most recent entrant, continues building its market presence.

The Hyperliquid platform directs roughly 97% of its trading fee revenue to the Assistance Fund, which executes systematic token buybacks. This mechanism creates organic demand pressure tied directly to platform utilization.

Meanwhile, Hyperliquid’s HIP-3 protocol has achieved $3 billion in Real-World Asset (RWA) Open Interest. Since launching in October 2025, HIP-3 has established new Open Interest benchmarks monthly.

Earlier this month, HYPE experienced temporary weakness following cryptocurrency investor Arthur Hayes’ position exit, which briefly dampened institutional sentiment. However, that downturn proved fleeting.

Chart Analysis and Price Targets

Technically speaking, HYPE is positioned comfortably above its 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day Exponential Moving Averages, which range between approximately $42.80 and $55.70.

Last week, the token found support around $53.00 near its 50-day EMA, sparking a sharp V-shaped rebound. The Relative Strength Index hovers near 60 on the daily timeframe, indicating healthy momentum without entering overbought territory. The MACD indicator appears poised to generate a bullish crossover above its signal line.

Immediate resistance stands at the June 1 peak of $75.76. Should HYPE break through, Fibonacci extension analysis points to subsequent targets at $83.63 and $94.83. Conversely, downside support emerges at the 50% retracement level of $63.17, with additional backing at the 50-day EMA around $55.69.

The most recent institutional purchase—Bitwise’s acquisition of 77,097 HYPE tokens for $5.18 million—was executed within the past hour, as verified by Lookonchain data.
