Cardano V11 hardfork nears mainnet after testnet upgrades, with SPO readiness above 83% and 33 exchanges done or in progress.

Cardano is moving closer to its mainnet “van Rossem” V11 hardfork, with readiness rising across network operators and exchanges.

The preview and preprod testnets have already completed the hardfork, giving developers and operators a live testing base before mainnet activation.

Mainnet stake pool operators are also upgrading, while several exchanges have either completed readiness work or started the process.

A governance action for the mainnet hardfork is now live on-chain, with results still pending as support continues to build.

Testnets Complete Van Rossem Upgrade

Cardano’s preview and preprod testnets have already moved through the Protocol Version 11 hardfork process.

These environments are used to test upgrades before they reach the main network. Their completion marks an important step in the wider readiness process.

The “van Rossem” hardfork is now moving from testnet validation toward mainnet preparation.

This stage depends on coordination between stake pool operators, exchanges, developers, and governance participants.

Each group plays a role in helping the upgrade proceed with fewer service issues.

The latest readiness data shows that Cardano is approaching the required level of network support.

However, the final mainnet step still depends on governance results and broader upgrade completion.

The process remains active as more operators and platforms update their systems.

SPO Readiness Climbs on Mainnet

Stake pool operator readiness has continued to rise as more Cardano blocks are produced on V11.

The latest data shows 87% block production on V11 across the last 100 blocks. Over the past day, V11 block production reached 83.65%.

That daily figure is up from 67.99% over the past 30 days, showing a faster pace of upgrade adoption.

The increase suggests more mainnet operators have moved to the new protocol version. Cardano relies on these operators to support block production and network stability.

SPO readiness is one of the main factors watched before a Cardano hardfork.

A broad upgrade among operators helps reduce the risk of uneven network support. The current figures show that the network is moving closer to mainnet readiness.

Exchanges Continue Upgrade Work

Exchange readiness is also advancing ahead of the Cardano V11 hardfork. According to the latest update, 33 exchanges have either completed work or are in progress.

Another 25 exchanges have not started their upgrade process.

Exchange preparation matters because trading platforms must support deposits, withdrawals, and wallet services during protocol changes

When exchanges complete their upgrades, users face fewer service interruptions around the hardfork. This makes exchange coordination a key part of the rollout.

The governance action for the mainnet hardfork remains live on-chain, with results not yet finalized.

Support is described as strong so far, while the network continues to wait for the formal outcome.

Cardano is now nearing the point where operator readiness, exchange upgrades, and governance approval can align for the V11 mainnet hardfork.
