Cryptocurrency exchange Bitget introduced Stock+, a new feature within its Stocks 2.0 ecosystem that allows users to purchase real US equities directly using USDC and other digital assets. The launch represents another step toward integrating cryptocurrency and traditional financial markets within a unified account structure.
Historically, access to US stock markets has required separate brokerage accounts, banking systems, approval processes, and region-specific infrastructure. Stock+ aims to simplify this process by enabling users to fund accounts with digital assets, convert them into USDC, and gain exposure to publicly traded companies through a crypto-focused platform.
Unlike synthetic stock products or derivatives, Stock+ is designed to provide ownership of underlying shares through regulated brokerage execution. Users may receive eligible cash dividends and adjustments related to stock splits, while trading availability follows US market sessions, including pre-market, regular trading, and after-hours periods.
“Bitget was among the first exchanges to bring together crypto, tokenized assets, commodities, and equities under the Universal Exchange vision. Stock+ is the next evolution of that strategy,” said Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget in a written statement. “Access is important, but ownership matters too. Giving users access to real ownership of US-listed companies is how we actually bridge financial markets. The platforms that succeed will be the ones that combine access, ownership, and flexibility in a single experience,” she added.
The new feature also supports transfers of existing stock holdings from participating brokers through standard transfer procedures, allowing users to manage traditional equity positions alongside digital assets within a single portfolio environment.
Stock+ expands Bitget’s broader effort to combine crypto and traditional investment products under its Universal Exchange model. The company said the feature builds on its Stocks 2.0 initiative, which focuses on expanding access to equity-related products through blockchain-based infrastructure.
In early June 2026, Bitget announced an upgrade to its stock services, beginning with the launch of Reality, a regulated real-world asset (RWA) protocol, and tokenized stocks issued through rToken. The platform has since listed more than 500 US stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs), including SpaceX, Tesla, and NVIDIA, while reporting that assets under management (AUM) for rToken products surpassed $50 million.
The introduction of Stock+ marks another stage in Bitget’s expansion of its stock-related services. It offers users a combined environment for managing digital assets and traditional equities. To mark the launch, Stock+ trading fees start from 0.1%, with a 50% promotional discount available until August 31, 2026.
