Reservoir, an agricultural innovation center and venture capital fund, announced today the acquisition of Contain, Inc., an agriculture finance and data platform, marking the firm’s first acquisition. As part of the deal, Nicola Kerslake has joined Reservoir as a general partner, where she will chair the investment committee and lead due diligence and underwriting functions. The acquisition adds a new layer to Reservoir’s value creation model for startups, combining Contain’s marketplace, underwriting, financing experience, and market intelligence capabilities.
