Gate Europe has launched a MiCA-regulated newcomer campaign as European crypto exchanges compete for users before Binance restricts some EU services from July 1.

The campaign targets eligible new Gate Europe users with rewards for registration, first deposit and first spot trade. The exchange lists a 10 USDC trading fee rebate voucher for the first 2,000 eligible users who complete account registration during the event period.

Gate Europe is also offering 15 USDC in token rewards for users who complete a net deposit of at least 100 USDC equivalent in any supported asset. Onchain deposits, fiat deposits and OTC purchases are included, while internal transfers are excluded. A separate first-trade task gives eligible users another 10 USDC reward after completing at least 100 USDC equivalent in spot trading volume.

Gate Technology Ltd is authorized as a Crypto-Asset Service Provider by the Malta Financial Services Authority under MiCA. That gives Gate Europe a regulated EU route at the same time Binance users are reassessing access, account migration and service continuity before the transition period ends.

Licensed Exchanges Chase Binance Users

The campaign places Gate Europe alongside Coinbase and OKX in the fight for European crypto users affected by Binance’s licensing gap. Coinbase and OKX already moved with MiCA deadline bonuses as Binance prepared to restrict certain EU services without a license in place.

OKX has also reported stronger European user activity. OKX Europe CEO Erald Ghoos said the exchange was seeing record numbers of new clients before the cutoff, turning the July 1 deadline into a direct customer-acquisition window for authorized firms. That user shift was already visible as OKX Europe signups accelerated ahead of the deadline.

The timing is central. MiCA’s transition period ends on July 1, 2026, requiring crypto-asset service providers to operate through authorized EU entities if they want to keep serving users across the bloc. Platforms without the right authorization face service restrictions, offboarding plans or country-by-country access limits.

Binance has told users in several European markets that it cannot accept new registrations and will restrict services because it will not have a MiCA license by the deadline. The exchange has said user assets remain safe and accessible, but the licensing gap has still created a short window for regulated rivals to win deposits, accounts and trading activity.

Binance Gap Turns Regulation Into User Acquisition

Binance withdrew its Greek MiCA application and plans to seek authorization through another EU member state. The Greek MiCA bid had been one of the exchange’s most important routes to uninterrupted EU access before the deadline.

Gate Europe’s rewards campaign shows how licensed exchanges are turning regulatory clarity into a marketing tool. The offer is not only about deposit rewards. It also pushes new users through the full onboarding path: registration, account verification, funding and first spot trade.

That structure matters because user migration is not complete when a customer opens an account. European traders still need to pass verification, move assets, test fiat or onchain funding, and confirm that the legal entity holding their account is authorized under MiCA.

Gate Europe’s campaign is open to eligible users only and rewards are limited to the first 2,000 eligible participants for each listed task. Binance’s EU restrictions begin from July 1, while Gate Europe, Coinbase and OKX are already using MiCA authorization and onboarding rewards to compete for users before the cutoff.
