MELAKA, June 29 — The Road Transport Department (JPJ) Melaka has issued a public notice encouraging Malaysians to participate in its latest round of vehicle registration number bidding via the JPJ eBid online platform for plates starting with ‘MEH’

In a Facebook post today, JPJ Melaka urged motorists and vehicle owners to register and submit bids through jpjebid.jpj.gov.my, the department’s official digital bidding system.

Bids for MEH plates will start July 10 and close on July 14, with bid results announced on July 15.

The department also used several campaign hashtags — including #DigitalisasiMemacuProfesionalismeJPJ, #JPJMalaysia, and #PanduCermatSampaiSelamat — underscoring its broader digitalisation drive and road‑safety messaging.

JPJ eBid, introduced nationwide in recent years, allows users to bid for preferred number plates without visiting JPJ counters. The system has become a popular avenue for securing special or highly sought‑after series, with bids conducted entirely online and results released digitally.

JPJ Melaka did not specify which number series is currently open for bidding, but similar announcements typically precede the release of new state or national plate sequences.

Members of the public can register for an account on JPJ eBid and submit bids before the closing date indicated on the platform.
