While Ripple (XRP) Crashes Below $2.40, Mutuum Finance (MUTM) Presale Spears Past 85% in Stage 6

xrp

The market shock hitting Ripple (XRP) has caught traders off guard, with XRP sliding below the $2.40 support level, triggering fresh uncertainty across the altcoin space. But while panic selling spreads, smart capital is quietly rotating into new crypto opportunities showing real momentum, and that’s where Mutuum Finance (MUTM) is suddenly dominating attention. The MUTM presale just surged past 85% completion in Stage 6, signaling accelerating demand at a time when many DeFi crypto projects are struggling to gain traction. The window to enter before the next price increase is closing rapidly, and investors who wait for confirmation may be left chasing green candles instead of buying early.

XRP at a Critical Turning Point

XRP has entered a decisive phase after slipping below the $2.19 support, putting pressure back on buyers to hold the line. The most important level on the chart right now is the $1.61 support zone, if bulls fail to defend it, the price could unwind further toward $1.25, where the next major demand block sits. On the upside, the 20-day EMA near $2.46 stands as the first resistance that must be reclaimed for momentum to shift back in favor of the bulls.

The market is watching closely to see whether the Ripple community can defend the structure and trigger a reversal, or if the chart confirms a deeper corrective phase. As investors evaluate risk-to-reward across the market, some are quietly rotating into emerging projects that show stronger upside acceleration, Mutuum Finance (MUTM), which has been gaining attention as capital searches for higher-potential setups, especially among new crypto investors and DeFi crypto market participants.

Mutuum Finance Catches Fire in Presale

Mutuum Finance (MUTM) is rapidly becoming one of the most talked-about DeFi crypto projects in 2025, attracting major attention from investors seeking early access to high-growth opportunities. The ongoing presale gives participants a chance to secure MUTM tokens before they are listed on public exchanges. Phase 6 is currently active at a token price of $0.035, more than triple the original Phase 1 price of $0.01, already delivering near 3x gains for early buyers. With more than $18.5 million raised and over 17,810 investors taking part, Phase 6 is close to 85% sell-out. Once Phase 7 begins, the price will rise to $0.04, making now one of the final entry points before the next valuation jump.

Presale traction has remained strong throughout every stage. Out of the total supply of 4 billion MUTM tokens, 1.76 billion were set aside for the presale, with 760 million already purchased. This scale of participation highlights growing confidence in Mutuum Finance’s roadmap and its role as a utility-centered new crypto asset with long-term expansion potential.

The Mutuum Finance Ecosystem

At the core of Mutuum Finance is a fully collateralized USD-pegged stablecoin supported by on-chain verified reserves. This stablecoin will serve as the backbone of the lending and borrowing system, helping maintain liquidity, reduce exposure to extreme price swings, and create reliable borrowing conditions. To ensure accurate valuations and safe collateral management, Mutuum Finance is integrating high-performance oracle systems capable of delivering real-time market data for interest rate calculations, collateral assessments, and automated liquidation triggers when necessary. These features allow the platform to operate smoothly even during broader market volatility.

By combining proven stablecoin mechanics with precise oracle-driven infrastructure, Mutuum Finance is building a more stable, accessible, and scalable DeFi crypto ecosystem designed for both everyday users and large-scale institutional participants. This approach positions MUTM as a project with longevity, real-world usability, and the potential to become one of the most important new crypto platforms of 2025.

Mutuum Finance has now raised over $18.5 million with more than 17,810 investors onboard, while Stage 6 of the presale is over 85% sold out at a price of $0.035. This accelerating demand highlights growing confidence in MUTM’s stablecoin-backed lending ecosystem, real on-chain collateralization, and long-term scalability, advantages that set it apart from projects currently facing heavy market pressure. As Phase 7 approaches and the token price rises to $0.04, early entry opportunity is narrowing quickly. Investors seeking strong upside before wider exchange exposure are positioning now, not later.

Crypto whale loses $6M to sneaky phishing scheme targeting staked Ethereum

Crypto whale loses $6M to sneaky phishing scheme targeting staked Ethereum

The post Crypto whale loses $6M to sneaky phishing scheme targeting staked Ethereum appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. A crypto whale lost more than $6 million in staked Ethereum (stETH) and Aave-wrapped Bitcoin (aEthWBTC) after approving malicious signatures in a phishing scheme on Sept. 18, according to blockchain security firm Scam Sniffer. According to the firm, the attackers disguised their move as a routine wallet confirmation through “Permit” signatures, which tricked the victim into authorizing fund transfers without triggering obvious red flags. Yu Xian, founder of blockchain security company SlowMist, noted that the victim did not recognize the danger because the transaction required no gas fees. He wrote: “From the victim’s perspective, he just clicked a few times to confirm the wallet’s pop-up signature requests, didn’t spend a single penny of gas, and $6.28 million was gone.” How Permit exploits work Permit approvals were originally designed to simplify token transfers. Instead of submitting an on-chain approval and paying fees, a user can sign an off-chain message authorizing a spender. That efficiency, however, has created a new attack surface for malicious players. Once a user signs such a permit, attackers can combine two functions—Permit and TransferFrom—to drain assets directly. Because the authorization takes place off-chain, wallet dashboards show no unusual activity until the funds move. As a result, the assets are gone when the approval executes on-chain, and tokens are redirected to the attacker’s wallet. This loophole has made permit exploits increasingly attractive for malicious actors, who can siphon millions without needing complex hacks or high-cost gas wars. Phishing losses The latest theft highlights a wider trend of escalating phishing campaigns. Scam Sniffer reported that in August alone, attackers stole $12.17 million from more than 15,200 victims. That figure represented a 72% jump in losses compared with July. According to the firm, the most significant share of August’s damages came from three large accounts that accounted for nearly half…
