What is the Phantom Kalshi Integration?

The Phantom Kalshi integration is a partnership between the popular Solana-based crypto wallet Phantom and the regulated prediction market platform Kalshi, enabling users to access and trade event-based markets directly within the wallet interface. Announced on Friday, this collaboration allows Phantom’s over 20 million users to engage in predictions on topics like politics, cryptocurrency prices, sports outcomes, and cultural events without leaving the app. By tokenizing positions backed by Kalshi’s markets, the integration streamlines transactions using Solana’s native tokens or Phantom’s CASH stablecoin, reducing friction compared to traditional platforms.

How Does the Social Trading Feature Work in This Integration?

The social trading element in the Phantom Kalshi integration introduces live community chats for each prediction market, allowing users to discuss insights, share analyses, and monitor sentiment shifts as odds fluctuate in real time. This feature builds on Phantom’s established ecosystem for decentralized finance (DeFi), perpetual futures, and stablecoin management, creating a unified space for financial interactions. According to data from similar wallet integrations, platforms with social components see up to 30% higher user engagement, as reported by industry analyses from sources like COINOTAG. Expert analysts note that this fosters informed decision-making, with users tracking collective opinions alongside price movements. The integration ensures all trades are settled automatically upon event resolution, providing transparent outcomes backed by Kalshi’s regulatory compliance under the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

Conclusion

The Phantom Kalshi integration marks a significant advancement in embedding prediction markets within crypto wallets, offering seamless access to diverse events like political outcomes and sports results while leveraging Solana’s efficiency. This development not only enhances user experience for Phantom’s vast community but also aligns with broader trends in financial innovation. As platforms continue to evolve, staying informed on such integrations will be key—consider exploring Phantom’s tools today to capitalize on emerging opportunities in the crypto space.

The rise of prediction markets integrated into crypto wallets represents a pivotal shift in how users interact with financial speculation. Phantom, a leading Solana wallet with a user base exceeding 20 million, has partnered with Kalshi, a CFTC-regulated platform specializing in event contracts. This collaboration, revealed on a recent Friday, embeds Kalshi’s markets directly into the Phantom app, allowing trades on high-interest topics without the hassle of external logins or fund transfers.

At its core, the integration facilitates the purchase of tokenized positions that reference Kalshi’s prediction markets. Users can employ Solana’s native cryptocurrency or Phantom’s proprietary CASH stablecoin for these transactions. This approach democratizes access, making it possible for anyone with a Phantom wallet to speculate on outcomes ranging from election results to cryptocurrency price milestones, sports victories, and cultural phenomena. Real-time price feeds, evolving odds, and event updates keep users informed, while push notifications alert them to market settlements, ensuring timely resolutions.

One standout aspect is the incorporation of social trading features. Each market comes equipped with a dedicated live chat where Phantom users can exchange views, debate probabilities, and observe how community sentiment influences odds. This mirrors successful elements from other DeFi applications within Phantom, such as perpetual contracts and yield farming, consolidating various trading activities under one intuitive interface. The CEO of Phantom, Brandon Millman, emphasized this in a prepared statement: “We built Phantom to make crypto feel intuitive for everyone, and now we are bringing that same simplicity to prediction markets. By integrating a layer of tokenized positions referencing Kalshi’s regulated event markets with Phantom, users can trade what they care about in real time alongside the same community where they already explore DeFi, perps, stablecoins, and more.”

This initiative follows a wave of similar advancements in the industry. For instance, Polymarket, a prominent prediction market, recently integrated with MetaMask, the Ethereum-focused wallet developed by ConsenSys. Likewise, Myriad, a platform under the umbrella of COINOTAG’s parent company Dastan, has been embedded in Trust Wallet, expanding reach to mobile users. These examples illustrate a growing trend where prediction markets migrate from standalone sites to embedded tools within everyday crypto applications, news aggregators, financial dashboards, and even entertainment streams. Industry experts, including those cited in reports from CoinDesk and The Block, predict that such integrations could boost overall market participation by 25-40% in the coming years, driven by reduced barriers and enhanced user retention.

From a technical standpoint, the Phantom Kalshi integration prioritizes security and efficiency. All transactions occur on the Solana blockchain, known for its high throughput and minimal fees—averaging under $0.01 per trade. This contrasts with slower networks like Ethereum, where gas costs can deter casual users. Kalshi’s regulatory framework ensures that underlying contracts are legitimate and enforceable, mitigating risks associated with unregulated betting platforms. Users benefit from transparent audit trails, as every position is tokenized and verifiable on-chain, aligning with best practices in blockchain finance.

For those new to prediction markets, these platforms operate on the principle of crowd-sourced wisdom. Traders buy “yes” or “no” shares in event outcomes, with share prices reflecting market-implied probabilities. If an event resolves in favor of a position, holders redeem at full value; otherwise, the position expires worthless. Kalshi’s focus on regulated events—such as economic indicators or major elections—adds a layer of reliability, appealing to institutional players alongside retail users. Phantom’s implementation makes this accessible, potentially onboarding millions more to the space.

Looking at user benefits, the integration enhances portfolio diversification. Beyond holding tokens, Phantom users can now allocate funds to short-term predictions, hedging against crypto volatility with real-world event exposure. Analytics from similar tools show that diversified traders experience 15-20% lower drawdowns during market downturns, per studies from Chainalysis. The social chat functionality further enriches this, enabling peer learning and strategy refinement in a supportive environment.

Challenges remain, however. While Solana’s speed is an asset, occasional network congestion could impact trade execution during peak events. Additionally, as a U.S.-regulated entity, Kalshi may impose geographic restrictions, limiting access for some international users. Phantom mitigates this through its global wallet design, but compliance remains a priority. Experts like those from Messari Research recommend that users review local laws before engaging in prediction trading to ensure adherence.

In summary, the Phantom Kalshi integration exemplifies how crypto wallets are evolving into multifaceted financial hubs. By blending prediction markets with familiar trading mechanics, it lowers entry barriers and fosters community engagement. As the crypto ecosystem matures in 2025, such innovations will likely drive wider adoption, empowering users to navigate an increasingly interconnected financial landscape with confidence and ease.

The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For

The post The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Visions of future technology are often prescient about the broad strokes while flubbing the details. The tablets in “2001: A Space Odyssey” do indeed look like iPads, but you never see the astronauts paying for subscriptions or wasting hours on Candy Crush.  Channel factories are one vision that arose early in the history of the Lightning Network to address some challenges that Lightning has faced from the beginning. Despite having grown to become Bitcoin’s most successful layer-2 scaling solution, with instant and low-fee payments, Lightning’s scale is limited by its reliance on payment channels. Although Lightning shifts most transactions off-chain, each payment channel still requires an on-chain transaction to open and (usually) another to close. As adoption grows, pressure on the blockchain grows with it. The need for a more scalable approach to managing channels is clear. Channel factories were supposed to meet this need, but where are they? In 2025, subnetworks are emerging that revive the impetus of channel factories with some new details that vastly increase their potential. They are natively interoperable with Lightning and achieve greater scale by allowing a group of participants to open a shared multisig UTXO and create multiple bilateral channels, which reduces the number of on-chain transactions and improves capital efficiency. Achieving greater scale by reducing complexity, Ark and Spark perform the same function as traditional channel factories with new designs and additional capabilities based on shared UTXOs.  Channel Factories 101 Channel factories have been around since the inception of Lightning. A factory is a multiparty contract where multiple users (not just two, as in a Dryja-Poon channel) cooperatively lock funds in a single multisig UTXO. They can open, close and update channels off-chain without updating the blockchain for each operation. Only when participants leave or the factory dissolves is an on-chain transaction…

The post Why The Green Bay Packers Must Take The Cleveland Browns Seriously — As Hard As That Might Be appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers are off to a 2-0 start. Getty Images The Green Bay Packers are, once again, one of the NFL’s better teams. The Cleveland Browns are, once again, one of the league’s doormats. It’s why unbeaten Green Bay (2-0) is a 8-point favorite at winless Cleveland (0-2) Sunday according to betmgm.com. The money line is also Green Bay -500. Most expect this to be a Packers’ rout, and it very well could be. But Green Bay knows taking anyone in this league for granted can prove costly. “I think if you look at their roster, the paper, who they have on that team, what they can do, they got a lot of talent and things can turn around quickly for them,” Packers safety Xavier McKinney said. “We just got to kind of keep that in mind and know we not just walking into something and they just going to lay down. That’s not what they going to do.” The Browns certainly haven’t laid down on defense. Far from. Cleveland is allowing an NFL-best 191.5 yards per game. The Browns gave up 141 yards to Cincinnati in Week 1, including just seven in the second half, but still lost, 17-16. Cleveland has given up an NFL-best 45.5 rushing yards per game and just 2.1 rushing yards per attempt. “The biggest thing is our defensive line is much, much improved over last year and I think we’ve got back to our personality,” defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz said recently. “When we play our best, our D-line leads us there as our engine.” The Browns rank third in the league in passing defense, allowing just 146.0 yards per game. Cleveland has also gone 30 straight games without allowing a 300-yard passer, the longest active streak in the NFL.…
