Later this year, Madonna will release her highly anticipated new album, which, for the moment, does not have an official title, although fans have been referring to it as Confessions 2. The pop icon herself has confirmed that the set is a sequel to her Grammy-winning project Confessions on a Dance Floor, which is regarded as one of her best and which recently turned 20. There’s no timeline yet for when this part two will arrive, but Madonna has been open about its production and has promised it in 2026, more than half a decade after her most recent full-length, Madame X.

The superstar kicks off this new year with a new song, though fans should not expect it to be featured on Confessions 2. As her latest cut debuts in America, Madonna reaches a tally for the first time and nearly conquers it on her inaugural trip.

“La Bambola” Brings Madonna to a New Billboard Chart

Madonna debuts on the World Digital Song Sales chart this week, earning her first career win on a list that is usually dominated by K-pop stars and Afrobeats musicians. “La Bambola (for Dolce & Gabbana – The One)” opens at No. 2. The cut immediately earns Madonna not just her first placement on the list, but another top 10 bestseller in the United States.

Tyla’s “Chanel” Blocks Madonna From Her First No. 1

Only one artist beats Madonna and blocks her from landing an important No. 1. South African Grammy winner Tyla soars to the summit with her current single “Chanel.” The track sat at No. 2 last time around, and it returns to the summit, earning a second frame ruling.

“Chanel” is one of Tyla’s two No. 1s on the World Digital Song Sales chart. She first conquered the ranking in late 2023 with “Water,” which went on to command the tally for an impressive 18 turns. “Water” won Tyla the first Best African Music Performance Grammy in 2024. She’s currently nominated in the same field for the second time, and “Push 2 Start” could help the talented artist add to her trophy shelf in just a few weeks.

Madonna scores the only debut on the 10-space World Digital Song Sales chart this week. Two tracks that have already landed in loftier positions return in the lowest rungs. This time around, “Iris Out” by Japanese singer-songwriter Kenshi Yonezu, is back at No. 9, while former leader “Do It” from South Korean boy band Stray Kids breaks back in at No. 10, in last place.

“La Bambola” Soundtracks Dolce & Gabbana’s New Ad Campaign

“La Bambola” was recorded by Madonna as part of the promotional campaign for Dolce & Gabbana’s fragrance The One. It marks her first piece of new content in 2026 – after a busy 2025 packed with retrospective releases – as the cut and her involvement with the fashion house were unveiled in the earliest days of the year.

“La Bambola” is a cover of a song of the same name by Italian musician Patty Pravo. The tune was initially released in 1968 and became not only a No. 1 in Italy at the time, but a hit all around Europe.

As “La Bambola” narrowly misses out on becoming a No. 1 bestseller, Madonna’s sole charting album in the U.S., The Immaculate Collection, finds its way back to the top 10 on one roster. The compilation, which arrived in 1990 and features the singer-songwriter’s earliest career-making smashes, lifts from No. 12 to No. 10 on the Top Dance Albums ranking.

Just last time around, The Immaculate Collection celebrated its first full year on the list of the most-consumed dance full-lengths and EPs in the country. The singles collection is one of only two projects by Madonna to manage a year on the Top Dance Albums list, following Confessions on a Dance Floor, which may soon hit two years.

Fed Decides On Interest Rates Today—Here’s What To Watch For

The post Fed Decides On Interest Rates Today—Here’s What To Watch For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Topline The Federal Reserve on Wednesday will conclude a two-day policymaking meeting and release a decision on whether to lower interest rates—following months of pressure and criticism from President Donald Trump—and potentially signal whether additional cuts are on the way. President Donald Trump has urged the central bank to “CUT INTEREST RATES, NOW, AND BIGGER” than they might plan to. Getty Images Key Facts The central bank is poised to cut interest rates by at least a quarter-point, down from the 4.25% to 4.5% range where they have been held since December to between 4% and 4.25%, as Wall Street has placed 100% odds of a rate cut, according to CME’s FedWatch, with higher odds (94%) on a quarter-point cut than a half-point (6%) reduction. Fed governors Christopher Waller and Michelle Bowman, both Trump appointees, voted in July for a quarter-point reduction to rates, and they may dissent again in favor of a large cut alongside Stephen Miran, Trump’s Council of Economic Advisers’ chair, who was sworn in at the meeting’s start on Tuesday. It’s unclear whether other policymakers, including Kansas City Fed President Jeffrey Schmid and St. Louis Fed President Alberto Musalem, will favor larger cuts or opt for no reduction. Fed Chair Jerome Powell said in his Jackson Hole, Wyoming, address last month the central bank would likely consider a looser monetary policy, noting the “shifting balance of risks” on the U.S. economy “may warrant adjusting our policy stance.” David Mericle, an economist for Goldman Sachs, wrote in a note the “key question” for the Fed’s meeting is whether policymakers signal “this is likely the first in a series of consecutive cuts” as the central bank is anticipated to “acknowledge the softening in the labor market,” though they may not “nod to an October cut.” Mericle said he…
