Partnering with Airbus at Asia’s largest airshow to spotlight its next-generation widebody flagship powering STARLUX’s long-haul and global network expansion

LOS ANGELES, TAIPEI, Taiwan & SINGAPORE–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#Airshow—Singapore Airshow—Taiwan-based luxury carrier STARLUX Airlines is showcasing its A350-1000 widebody aircraft (registration B-58551) at the 2026 Singapore Airshow, Asia’s largest and one of the world’s most influential aerospace exhibitions. On display from February 3–5, the aircraft is being presented ahead of its entry into commercial service. The showcase offers aviation professionals and enthusiasts a first-hand look at STARLUX’s internationally certified premium onboard experience.

The appearance marks a significant milestone for STARLUX as it introduces Taiwan’s first A350-1000 to the global stage and advances toward a fully modern, next-generation fleet. STARLUX is also the only Taiwanese airline participating in this year’s Singapore Airshow.

“We are honored to participate in the Singapore Airshow with an actual aircraft for the second consecutive edition, reflecting not only strong recognition of STARLUX but also our steady progress in fleet planning and operational execution,” said Glenn Chai, CEO of STARLUX Airlines. “Showcasing Taiwan’s first A350-1000 demonstrates more than the arrival of a single aircraft type—it marks the maturation of a comprehensive fleet capable of supporting both long-haul and regional operations. Through this international platform, we aim to highlight our professional capabilities to the global audience and attract greater attention to the development of Taiwan’s aviation industry. We sincerely thank Airbus for their ongoing partnership and support.”

Anand Stanley, President, Airbus Asia-Pacific, added: “We are delighted to welcome STARLUX newest A350-1000 to the Singapore Airshow, a milestone that underscores both the strength of our endearing partnership and the growing importance of long-haul connectivity in the Asia-Pacific region. The A350-1000 is truly a Long Range Leader, combining efficiency, comfort, and cutting-edge design. Featuring a luxurious four-class layout, the STARLUX aircraft is a prime example of what is possible with the A350-1000 in terms of passenger experience. Trade visitors will have the rare opportunity to see this flagship aircraft up close at the airshow, and experience first-hand why it sets the benchmark for the future of air travel.”

A350-1000: STARLUX’s New Long-Haul Flagship

The A350-1000 is the largest widebody aircraft in STARLUX Airlines’ fleet and serves as the flagship of its long-haul network strategy. Constructed using advanced carbon-fiber composites, the aircraft delivers exceptional performance, structural strength, and efficiency. Its exterior features STARLUX’s signature “Obsidian Gray” woven design accented with “Earth Gold,” a bespoke tail livery and prominent “1000” fuselage markings that underscore its flagship status.

The aircraft features a four-class cabin with 350 seats: four First Class suites, 40 Business Class seats, 36 Premium Economy seats, and 270 Economy Class seats. With a nonstop range of up to nearly 9,700 miles (15,600 kilometers), the A350-1000 will play a key role in expanding STARLUX’s North American and European networks. Powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines, the aircraft delivers enhanced fuel efficiency, reduced noise, and lower carbon emissions, supported by advanced aerodynamics and a lightweight airframe.

Strengthening Global Visibility and Brand Momentum

Following the delivery of Taiwan’s first A350-1000 in early January, STARLUX has rolled out a series of strategic initiatives. Last month, the airline unveiled “AIRSORAYAMA” in Tokyo, a multi-year collaboration with renowned Japanese hyperrealist artist Hajime Sorayama that will transform two A350-1000 aircraft into flying masterpieces that merge aviation craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics. The aircraft’s debut at the Singapore Airshow further elevates STARLUX’s global visibility, offering international aviation professionals and industry partners a close look at STARLUX Airlines’ continued progress in fleet development, operational scale, and long-term growth strategy.

Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC

The post Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Franklin Templeton CEO Jenny Johnson has weighed in on whether the Federal Reserve should make a 25 basis points (bps) Fed rate cut or 50 bps cut. This comes ahead of the Fed decision today at today’s FOMC meeting, with the market pricing in a 25 bps cut. Bitcoin and the broader crypto market are currently trading flat ahead of the rate cut decision. Franklin Templeton CEO Weighs In On Potential FOMC Decision In a CNBC interview, Jenny Johnson said that she expects the Fed to make a 25 bps cut today instead of a 50 bps cut. She acknowledged the jobs data, which suggested that the labor market is weakening. However, she noted that this data is backward-looking, indicating that it doesn’t show the current state of the economy. She alluded to the wage growth, which she remarked is an indication of a robust labor market. She added that retail sales are up and that consumers are still spending, despite inflation being sticky at 3%, which makes a case for why the FOMC should opt against a 50-basis-point Fed rate cut. In line with this, the Franklin Templeton CEO said that she would go with a 25 bps rate cut if she were Jerome Powell. She remarked that the Fed still has the October and December FOMC meetings to make further cuts if the incoming data warrants it. Johnson also asserted that the data show a robust economy. However, she noted that there can’t be an argument for no Fed rate cut since Powell already signaled at Jackson Hole that they were likely to lower interest rates at this meeting due to concerns over a weakening labor market. Notably, her comment comes as experts argue for both sides on why the Fed should make a 25 bps cut or…
