Bitnomial, Inc. announced the launch of Tezos (XTZ) US Dollar futures on February 4, 2026. This marks the first-ever XTZ futures offered on a U.S. exchange. The new contract aims to provide institutional and retail traders a regulated platform for XTZ price discovery and risk management.

XTZ Futures on Bitnomial Exchange

The XTZ futures are now live on Bitnomial Exchange, LLC, a CFTC-regulated designated contract market (DCM). The contracts allow traders to use crypto or USD as margin for trading. This marks an important step toward offering a regulated U.S. venue for cryptocurrency futures trading.

Michael Dunn, President of Bitnomial Exchange, stated, “Tezos is resilient institutional-grade infrastructure, and now U.S. traders have a regulated derivatives market to match.” The launch of these futures is designed to bring more maturity and stability to the Tezos market trading. The service offers a regulated platform for price discovery and portfolio margining across digital assets.

The new XTZ futures contract allows users to participate in a market that meets the SEC’s standards for spot ETFs. With six months of trading history, this service checks a key box for institutional participants. This development further validates Tezos as a stable blockchain platform for financial applications.

Tezos and the Growing Crypto Market

Tezos is an open-source, self-upgrading blockchain designed for long-term sustainability. Its on-chain governance feature enables seamless protocol upgrades, ensuring stability for applications built on it. Tezos now offers faster transaction speeds, a native data availability layer, and rollups for scaling applications.

Arthur Breitman, co-founder of Tezos, commented on the launch, stating, “U.S.-regulated futures are the backbone of commodity markets.” He noted that the arrival of XTZ futures reflects Tezos’ growing maturity and potential for wider institutional adoption. Tezos now supports industries like tokenized finance, gaming, and digital ownership, processing billions in value since 2018.

The launch of XTZ futures expands Bitnomial’s Crypto Complex, which is known for offering broad exposure to digital asset derivatives. Bitnomial plans to further enhance its offerings by adding perpetual futures and options for XTZ in the future. Traders can access these products on Botanical, Bitnomial’s retail trading platform, starting today.
