Binance Wallet launches first comprehensive Web3 security hub featuring real-time vulnerability scanning across wallet, asset, and transaction risks.

Binance Wallet Debuts Security Center with 200+ Risk Detection Models

Binance Wallet rolled out its Security Center on February 3, 2026, marking what the exchange claims is the first dedicated security hub built specifically for Web3 wallets. The feature consolidates fragmented security tools into a single dashboard while adding real-time vulnerability monitoring—a direct response to the uneven security standards plaguing decentralized finance.

The centerpiece is Security Scan, an automated monitoring system running over 200 detection models. It continuously checks four risk categories: wallet security (backup status, verification methods), asset security (flagging suspicious tokens), approval security (identifying contracts with excessive permissions), and transaction security (detecting known fraudulent addresses).

What makes this interesting for traders: the system categorizes threats by severity and provides specific fix recommendations rather than generic warnings. If you've granted unlimited token approvals to some sketchy DeFi protocol three months ago and forgot about it, Security Scan will surface that.

Beyond Binance's Ecosystem

The Security Center works with both Binance's native Keyless Wallets and external wallets imported via seed phrases or private keys. That's a meaningful expansion—users managing multiple wallets across different platforms can run security checks from one interface without moving assets.

The timing aligns with Binance Wallet's growth trajectory. The platform reported a 71% user increase throughout 2025, and industry analysts project non-custodial wallet adoption will continue accelerating as users seek alternatives to centralized custody following various exchange failures in recent years.

Separate Trading Updates

Binance also announced expanded trading options, though these rolled out earlier on January 20, 2026. The exchange added BTC/U and LTC/USD1 trading pairs with accompanying Trading Bot support. VIP 2-9 users received zero maker and taker fees on BTC/U spot and margin pairs, though that volume won't count toward VIP tier calculations—a trade-off worth noting if you're grinding toward the next tier.

Standard taker fees still apply for regular and VIP 1 users. The zero-fee promotion runs until further notice, with Binance reserving the right to end it or disqualify users engaged in wash trading.

The Security Center is accessible now through Binance Wallet's interface. Given the steady stream of wallet exploits and approval-based attacks across DeFi, traders actively using Web3 applications should probably run a scan sooner rather than later.

Taiko Makes Chainlink Data Streams Its Official Oracle

The post Taiko Makes Chainlink Data Streams Its Official Oracle appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Key Notes Taiko has officially integrated Chainlink Data Streams for its Layer 2 network. The integration provides developers with high-speed market data to build advanced DeFi applications. The move aims to improve security and attract institutional adoption by using Chainlink’s established infrastructure. Taiko, an Ethereum-based ETH $4 514 24h volatility: 0.4% Market cap: $545.57 B Vol. 24h: $28.23 B Layer 2 rollup, has announced the integration of Chainlink LINK $23.26 24h volatility: 1.7% Market cap: $15.75 B Vol. 24h: $787.15 M Data Streams. The development comes as the underlying Ethereum network continues to see significant on-chain activity, including large sales from ETH whales. The partnership establishes Chainlink as the official oracle infrastructure for the network. It is designed to provide developers on the Taiko platform with reliable and high-speed market data, essential for building a wide range of decentralized finance (DeFi) applications, from complex derivatives platforms to more niche projects involving unique token governance models. According to the project’s official announcement on Sept. 17, the integration enables the creation of more advanced on-chain products that require high-quality, tamper-proof data to function securely. Taiko operates as a “based rollup,” which means it leverages Ethereum validators for transaction sequencing for strong decentralization. Boosting DeFi and Institutional Interest Oracles are fundamental services in the blockchain industry. They act as secure bridges that feed external, off-chain information to on-chain smart contracts. DeFi protocols, in particular, rely on oracles for accurate, real-time price feeds. Taiko leadership stated that using Chainlink’s infrastructure aligns with its goals. The team hopes the partnership will help attract institutional crypto investment and support the development of real-world applications, a goal that aligns with Chainlink’s broader mission to bring global data on-chain. Integrating real-world economic information is part of a broader industry trend. Just last week, Chainlink partnered with the Sei…
